Ages 7-12 Yrs: Friday 4:00pm; Ages 13+: Friday 5:00pm . Acrobatics is the art of jumping, tumbling, and balancing. Students will learn the proper technique to perform cartwheels, handstands, walkovers and aerials.
Ballet
Ages 7-9: Monday 6:00pm, Saturday 11:00am; Ages 10-15: Wednesday 7:00pm; Adult Ballet: Thursday 7:00pm. Ballet is the foundation of all dance forms. It is designed to build grace, balance, strength and control. Ballet barre, floor work and combos are taught. 10 class card Valid for all adult classes except Pole Fitness.

Belly Dance
Thursdays at 8:00pm. 10 class card valid for any of our adult classes (excluding Pole Fitness). Shimmy on down! You'll learn a variety of sensual dance moves in this introductory belly dancing course, perfect for absolute beginners. Practice isolations, shimmies, undulations and other classic belly dancing moves. You'll learn to incorporate your shoulders, arms, back and hips in each sequence to gain muscular strength and fiery sex appeal. Develop your inner rhythm while improving stamina, flexibility and control across the floor. Dance yourself to the best body of your life!

Break Dance
Classes will begin Thursday, October 2. Ages 7-12: Thursday 6:30pm; Ages 13+: Thursday 7:30pm. While diverse in the amount of variation available in the dance, b-boying consists of four primary elements: toprock, downrock, power moves, and freezes. B-boying is typically danced to hip hop and especially breakbeats, although modern trends allow for much wider varieties of music along certain ranges of tempo and beat patterns.
Combo Classes
Age 4: Monday 4:00pm, Thursday 5:00pm, Saturday 11:00am; Age 5: Monday 4:00pm, Thursday 5:00pm, Saturday 12:00pm; Age 6: Wednesday 4:00pm, Saturday 1:00pm. Our combo classes are a great first start for your little one. These classes are designed to introduce basic dance steps and listening skills. The children will do mat work and play musical instruments at the end of every class. We use hula hoops, scarves and wands to make learning fun! Combo 4 (4 years old)- Students gain basic knowledge of ballet while also learning beginning tap steps and combinations. Combo 5 (5 years old)- Students will increase their ballet knowledge while focusing more on becoming a tap dance star! Combo 6 (6 years old)- Both tap and jazz are studied and performed in this hour long class
Creative Movement
Wednesday 4:00pm; Saturday 10:00am. Ages 2.5 - 3yrs. This class will introduce your child to basic concepts of ballet and creative movement. Dancers explore the use of body parts, formations, speed and levels through the use of music, hula-hoops, bubbles scarves and more!
Dynamite Dancers
Ages 2-3 years. Beginner dancers will learn about movement and their bodies as they jump, turn and wiggle to kid friendly tunes! They will learn different dance concept through the use of hula hoops, scarves and bean bags. We will play games and have an arts and crafts session geared toward our monthly theme. The class will conclude with story time. Please provide a snack and drink. Children will need leotard and tights, ballet and tap shoes and sneakers. The session will run Monday and Wednesday from Monday, September 8- Wednesday, December 17. 10:30am-12:00pm.

Hip Hop
Ages 4-6: Friday 4:00pm, Saturday 3:00pm; Ages 7-9: Tuesday 5:00pm, Friday 5:00pm, Saturday 2:00pm; Boys Only!: Tuesday 4:00pm, Ages 10-12 Tuesday 6:00pm, Ages 13+ Tuesday 8:00pm. Hip Hop is a blend of today's high-energy street style movement. Typically performed to popular music, this style of dance has been sought after by students of all ages. Our hip hop classes use age appropriate music and movements.
Jazz
Ages 7-9: Monday 5:00pm, Saturday 12:00pm; Ages 10-12: Tuesday 5:00pm, Saturday 3:00pm; Teen: Tuesday 7:00pm; Adult: Monday 7:00pm. Warm-up exercises are designed specifically to increase flexibility and strength. The primary focus of all center floor combinations is total body control. Across the floor combinations focus on dynamics and fluidity. Jazz dancing is a form of dance that showcases a dancer's individual style and originality. Every jazz dancer interprets and executes moves and steps in their own way. This type of dancing is energetic and fun, consisting of unique moves, fancy footwork, big leaps and quick turns. To excel in jazz, dancers need a strong background in ballet, as it encourages grace and balance.
Lyrical/contemporary
Ages 10-12: Wednesday 5:00pm, Saturday 2:00pm; Teen: Thursday 6:00pm; Adult Intermediate: Thursday 8:00pm (Time will change to 8:30pm October 2). Lyrical dance is a dance style that blends ballet and jazz dance. Lyrical is generally smoother and a bit faster than ballet, but not quite as fast as jazz. A lyrical dancer uses movement to express strong emotions such as love, joy and anger. Lyrical dancers usually perform to music with lyrics...the lyrics of the chosen song serve as inspiration for movements and expressions. Music used for lyrical is typically emotionally charged and expressive. Music may consist of many genres including pop, rock and hip hop. Powerful, expressive songs are often used in lyrical dance to give dancers a chance to express a range of strong emotions through their dancing. Movements in lyrical dance are characterized by fluidity and grace, with the dancer flowing seamlessly from one move to another, holding finishing steps as long as possible. Leaps are exceptionally high and soaring, and turns are fluid and continuous.
Mommy and Me
Mamas (or other loving adult) and their babies dance, sing, play games, learn Yoga moves and more in this interactive movement class. We create mazes to explore, play musical instruments to our own beat while we learn to express feelings through movement and music. Ages 6 months-2 years; Friday 10:15-11:00am (Begins Friday, October 3).

Mondays at 8:15pm. A $10 non-refundable deposit is required at the time of reservation. The remaining balance of $10 is to be paid at arrival. Want to be the perfect combination of cute and sexy? Pole dancing provides a unique, high-intensity workout set to strengthen your core, improve flexibility, and perfect those feminine movements -- you know the ones. In this Pole Fitness class, you'll learn the fundamentals behind pole dancing, such as conditioning exercises and strength training (you're going to get toned!), before taking to the pole and operating turns, tricks, and spins destined to impress anyone including yourself! The workout fuses cardio, Pilates, isometric movements, plyometrics and Isometric poses into a 45-minute series. Believe it or not, tap dancing is rooted in traditional Irish clog dancing -- you know, Lord of the Dance. Transitioning from Irish steps, the dance form moved to the Vaudeville stage where it began to take off. Lately embraced by Hollywood cinema in The Artist, tap dancing integrates a showy performance with complex dance steps as you create your own beat. At Queens Dance Project, you'll learn the basic footwork behind tap dancing such as shuffles, hops, steps, and ball-changes so you'll be able to choreograph your own routines. Using syncopation and beat count, feel the energy and become more comfortable and expressive in your tap steps. Tap your feet to a great time!
Toning Barre
Friday 10:00am (Starting September 12) You will strengthen muscles in your body you never even knew you had! Work those muscles while learning basic ballet steps. Use the ballet barre for grace and poise. You will tone your legs, glutes and calves while strengthening your core and arms.
Zumba
Tuesday 7:00pm (until August 19) (Time will change to Wednesdays at 8:00pm starting September 10) Wednesday 9:00am (Begins September 10). Leave your inhibitions at the door! Zumba is a dance-style fitness class where Latin rhythms are paired with simple dance steps for the ultimate dance party workout. Dancing to the hottest Latin beats, you'll forget about the sweat, while combining moves from different latin dance styles such as salsa, mambo, reggaeton and merengue. Where else can you learn basic latin dance moves, endure a great workout and have fun all at the same time?!

Qdp Company
The QDP Company is made up of dancers ages 7+. Our training program includes ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, hip hop, contemporary and lyrical styles. The students focus on proper technique, stage presence and performance skills. Dancers must be prepared to commit to strict policies on attendance, lateness and attire. Qdp Company Auditions: We are looking for dancers ages 7-17 interested in competitive dance. Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Contemporary and Ballet.
