Just got back from staying at this resort for 1 week. Great location on Mission Bay. Resort is nice throughout with great pool etc. Has a nice restaurant and seperate bar too. They have 2 seals that are in a huge pond that are part of the rescue mammel project in San Diego. They feed them twice a day. They also have a cool big paddle boat (like the kind that use to go along the Mississippi river) that takes you on a 1 hour tour of the bay. It only runs Fri & Sat nights. The 1 point that wasn't so good, is the room we stayed in had an old boxy tv - not flat screened which I expected for the price we paid a night, plus it being a suite. The Suite we stayed in was one of the first built years ago - and it had a bit of a musty smell.
I recently visited town and country and let me tell you it was the best experience I have ever had. The spa was gorgeous, huge and reasonably priced…
The Complete Sailing Course is the best deal in San Diego. In two weekends, I was able to feel comfortable sailing a thirty foot sailboat in coastal waters. The text book ASA log book and ASA 101 Basic Sailing and ASA 103 Basic Coastal Cruising was all included for $595. Plus they threw in the initial membership fee, so I'm able to rent boats at six different locations. I checked out all the other sailing clubs and found this one to be the best deal. Happy Sailing! Really lovely property just down the street from Sea World. It is like a hawaiian paradise on it's own island! Has multiple pools, tennis courts, beautiful beach with fire pits, gorgeous rooms, lush grounds, event rooms, restaurant, watercraft and bicycle rentals. It really is a great get away! We have stayed here at least 7 times over the past 10 years!
