Radiology
Certain services at an in-network hospital or ambulatory surgical center When you get services from an in-network hospital or ambulatory surgical center, certain providers there may be out-of-network. In these cases, the most those providers can bill you is your plan’s in-network cost-sharing amount. This applies to emergency medicine, anesthesia, pathology, radiology, laboratory, neonatology, assistant surgeon, hospitalist, or intensivist services. These providers can’t balance bill you and may not ask you to give up your protections not to be balance billed.
Computed Tomography

Arthroscopy is a procedure used for both diagnosis and treatment of joint problems. Shoulder arthroscopy is a minimum invasive surgery procedure used to see into the shoulder joint and repair damaged bone, muscle, tendon or ligament of the joint. Kristy W. Barrentine, a registered nurse since 2004, has practiced as a nurse practitioner since 2009. Over her career span, Kristy’s professional clinical focus has been spine treatment, with experience in both neurosurgery and interventional pain management. Kristy began working with Dr. Charles Gordon, The Spine Institute at Baldwin Bone & Joint in May of 2020.
Arthroscopy
Patients may also be referred to a foot and ankle surgeon for proper diagnosis and treatment of heel pain (such as a consequence from plantar heel fasciitis), nerve disorders (such as tarsal tunnel syndrome) and tumors of the foot and ankle. Ankle arthroscopy (the use of a laparoscope in foot and ankle surgical procedures) have emerged as prominent tools in foot and ankle care.
Hip Replacement
Not everyone with hip pain needs a hip replacement. This surgery is reserved for people with a diseased or deteriorated hip joint. These people can have pain that limit their normal activity despite medications, injections, and and physical therapy.

Foot and ankle surgery is a sub-specialty of orthopaedics and podiatry that deals with the treatment, diagnosis and prevention of disorders of the foot and ankle. An orthopaedic surgeon has a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine medical degree and training that encompasses both orthopaedic residency and an optional 6-month to one year of fellowship training specific in techniques of foot and ankle surgery.
