- When I graduated from LSU in Early Childhood Education, I never dreamed that I would own a childcare facility. Boy, how wrong was I! My passion for young children and my educational background led me to where I am today. Kids Count has grown to encompass a 10,000 sq. ft. facility built for the sole purpose of housing a quality childcare/preschool program. I love it as much today as the day I opened in 1986. My motto is "When you can’t be there, we are, because Kids Count". Parents can rest assured that Kids Count meets the industry’s highest level of standards to foster physical, social, emotional, and intellectual growth of their children. Thank you for allowing me and my staff to share in the blessings which are your children. -Toni Turnley
Incredible child care center! The majority of the staff has been there for years. The facility is clean and well maintained. My children adored going to school every day, and they were both reading by the time they graduated the preK class. I can't say enough wonderful things about Kids Count.

This is a privately owned daycare for babies (not sure what age) to 5 year olds (kindergarten ready). My child attended this daycare for 3 years. Hours are great for parents that need to drop off kids early (opened at 6:30 a.m.).
Meals/snacks are wonderful. Meals are well-planned and will satisfy the pickyest eater. Activities, especially art are fabulous. When your child needs diapers, they are provided by the daycare (hope this is still the policy). I would drop my child off in morning without any items. A extra change of clothing can be left in the event of an accident. Teachers are warm and nurturing. Although I didn't have an infant there, I was always impressed with the care for infants.
Nice security system. Parents can come and go at any time though it is not necessary to make surprise visits. Children are very well taken care of and that's a load of any parent's mind!
