Hands down best therapist on the planet. the staff there was the nicest I've ever seen, that place makes therapy a pleasure, they are real people and you get real results, I've been to other places no one else was even close.

This place is just wonderful.....

This place is just wonderful.....It's not the place that makes it so great it's the therapist who are so helpful and informative. I really enjoy going there weekly to get my foot back in full range of motion. I would recommend Brown Rogers to anyone who is in need of therapy.

The human body is made up of approximately 50-75% water. The percentage of water varies based on age and gender. Fluid intake is essential to good health. Water is needed to regulate your temperature, maintain joint health and to deliver essential vitamins and minerals. Dehydration leads to impaired nerve and muscle function due to the imbalance of sodium and potassium within the body. Brain and muscle function become impaired causing decreased muscle coordination and impaired athletic performance. Early signs and symptoms of dehydration include headaches, dry mouth, chills, dry skin, excessive thirst, and fatigue. The color of one’s urine is a good indicator of proper hydration. Improper hydration will cause your urine to become a dark yellow. Signs of worsening dehydration are increased body temperature, heart rate and body temperature. If you become confused, have vision disturbances and difficulty breathing seek immediate medical attention. Your risk of dehydration increases when you sweat excessively, increase your exercise intensity and duration, when the temperature is high and at high altitudes.

Ultrasound (US) treatment involves use of sound waves over the area being treated to create vibrations that generate heat. When the tissues vibrate, friction is produced at the molecular level, which causes the temperature of the tissues to increase. While heating packs can be effective in warming an affected area, they are unable to reach the depth that US can. Peripheral arterial disease (PAD) is known as a condition where by the blood flow in the limb arteries are obstructed. Commonly, the legs are the most affected. These arteries are obstructed due to plaque deposits that restrict blood flow through the peripheries. Although blood flow may be also restricted by deep vein thrombosis, which may be a blood clot that occurs in the periphery of the limbs. Most patients are asymptomatic, but may experience intermittent claudication (pain on walking). Thus, there is a lack of blood flow to remove anaerobic metabolites that cause a pain sensation when built up. This condition most often affects people aged 30 to 50 years; men are twice as likely to be diagnosed as women. Repeated lifting, participating in weight-bearing sports, obesity, smoking, and poor posture are all risk factors for a herniated disc. The majority of herniated discs do not require surgery, and respond best to physical therapy. Astym treatment is a method of manual therapy, and is non-invasive, which means there are no injections or incisions. Instruments of various shapes are applied on top of the skin to locate dysfunctional (unhealthy) tissue, and to transfer mild to moderate pressure to the underlying soft tissue structures, using massage-like strokes.
