Went in barely able to walk with a back injury, the nurse practitioner Bridget looked at me as if I was lying when describing my symptoms. No x-ray no CT scan, just advice to make an appointment with another doctor. Which by the way she had another nurse tell me cause her shift ended and she went home. Was later diagnosed with a ruptured disc at Mercy Anderson, where they actually treated me respectfully and appropriately.

The staff is rude and very disrespectful they left me in a room for 2to 3 hours with fluid going into a IV and it was gone my blood was going up the drain line and they acted like it was OK that they didn't check on me and basically told me I was not important never again will I go to this hospital

rude nurses, no compassion, not helpful, incorrect information given, no resources given. Dis satisfied.

This hospital is absolutely filthy inside and out. The parking lots have trash everywhere. The outside garbage cans are always overflowing with trash. The general appearance is horrible. For the times I have been there when leaving at night, the parking lot lights didn't even work. I guess they don't even have maintenance men that work there to fix things. Always bathrooms outhe of service. I definitely wouldn't recommend this hospital to anyone I know.

I am grateful to Clermont Merc...

I am grateful to Clermont Mercy Hospital and Dr.Tinker and the nurses there for stablizing my son when he was in a serious car accident. Their fast response and caring manner made all the difference with my son living or dying! Being in the healthcare field myself, I know that there are some things that patients and their families don't understand, like there could be more critical patients that the docs have to attend to first. Please respect healthcare workers and try to be considerate to their work environment. And know that they are not ignoring you, but they are doing all that they can to take care of you.

Clermont Mercy - Unbelievable

Several friends and I met a dear friend in the ER just this past Saturday (3/10/12). He was in so much pain in his entire abdominal area. He couldn't stand up straight and he had been vomiting for 3 days. He was even having ""mini-seizures"" that were cycling every 5 minutes or so. The hospital finally admitted him so they could find out what was going on and set a course of treatment. Well, today (3/12) after having several tests on his heart (Why his heart you ask, couldn't get an answer to that!) They said they ruled out any heart problems so discharged him. He never said he had pain in his chest! To which the doctor said, ""We admitted you because you said you had chest pain."" 7 witnesses and we all attest that he never said ""chest pain"". I just found out they sent him home today. He could barely walk, still in severe pain and throwing up as he went out the door, in the car and when he got home. His wife doesn't know where to turn now! He's not going to make it if someone wont help! NEVER GO TO MERCY CLERMONT!
Side note - the nurses where great! One said he needed a cat scan of his head for possible seizures and she would see that he got one. The doctor didn't listen to her either. The nurses were apologizing as he and his wife left the hospital. But I guess they couldn't do anything either. .....

Clermont Mercy

clermont mercy is a terrible hospital, i have had many bad experiences there. to list a few: once i had broken my arm, the area was the forearm you could see were the bones were messed up and i was in pretty bad pain, i came to Clermont mercy, i sat in the main waiting room for approximately 4 hours bleeding from scrapes on my arm and suffering from the pain of the broken bone, before i was even called back for a room. i had also come here with my fiance, because she was a bit sick, no problems with the hospital at that point aside from them telling my 2 month pregnant fiance that there was no possible way she was pregnant. MY mother was recently admited to clermont mercy for reasons im not going to list, and dont get me wrong the doctor is nice and there are a few nurses that are nice, but the majority of the nurses are very rude in their own ways and are very unresponsive to calls. i have never had problems like this at any other hospital or doctors office, Clermont mercy is by far the worste hospital i have ever been to. if you neeed to go to the hospital, i assure you Clermont Mercy is not the best pick.

Very good experience

I recently moved to the area and had been having ongoing problems with abdominal pain that would come and go. Finally, after running a fever and having increasing pain for a few days, it became clear that this wasn't just a stomach bug or pulled muscle. Since I was a new patient, I couldn't get into any of the local doctor's offices in a short period of time, so on the recommendation of a friend went to the Mercy ER.

Since I got there at a slow time (if you don't have a life-or-death emergency, 7-9 am seems to be a pretty good time as far as avoiding the rush goes), check in took only a few minutes and I was seen very quickly. Dr. Lewis, the doctor on call, was excellent - after a preliminary exam he ran through what the ""game plan"" was, so that I knew exactly what steps we were going to take to figure out what was going on.

In total, we were there about 2 hours, some of which was just waiting for test results to come back. I left with a diagnosis and a referral to a specialist for follow up care.

I know that my experience was likely good in part because the ER was slow at the time (I came in prepared for a 3 hour wait since I knew I'd be low priority based on my symptoms), but a big part of it was the friendliness and kindness of the staff, along with excellent communication from them. Several of the staff looked totally exhausted when I saw them in the hallways, but when they came in to see me, they were smiling and courteous.

Normally a very good hospital, although our last visit wasnt so great

Clermont Mercy is the closest hospital to where I live, so when I had to take my son there a couple weeks ago because he had been running an extremely high fever, I trusted he would get attention. We have had a couple good experiences in their ER dept. before, but that day it was completely different, we waited an hour before we even got a nurse to see us, and that was only because he was throwing up all over me and I ran out of the room asking them to get me some towels. They threw some dry towels at me and threw a new sheet on the bed, I told them my son (17 mths old) had to be seen immediatly, keep in mind he was running a 104 degree fever at the time, they came in, registered us, and took his vitals, its was about 30 minutes before the doctor came in to see us, took a strep test and told me they would be back in just a few minutes. He returned over an hour later and told me there ws nothing we could do but give him tylenol and the nurses would be right in with discharge papers. After waiting another hour, I walked out and told them I was leaving I knew what to do and It was ridiculous we had waited that long, they asked me to wait and handed me the papers to sign, the trip ended up being 4 hours, and they left me covered in my sons throwup pretty much the whole time, not even offering me a wet towel. I dont think I will take him there anymore

Great Staff, bad experience

Friendly & attentive staff, very clean facility.

Hospital staff diagnosed one condition (pneumonia), yet tested and treated for another (heart). Ran up a 7500 + bill, kept me overnight in the hospital, failed to tell me my x-ray indicated pneumonia and sent me home with untreated pneumonia. My family doctor ended up treating me for it based on their own x-rays and reports, first go round of antibiotics didn't cure it, ended up with a second and stronger kind, and steroids to get rid of it because it was left ""untreated"" too long.

I realize the heart should be considered and taken seriously, and might have even been okay with all the unnecessary testing if they would have at least treated the pneumonia they discovered!
