The Genesee County Office for the Aging offers a variety of programs and services to senior citizens. It provides counseling on care giving issues and long-term care planning. The department offers support programs, such as in-home respite care, personal emergency response system, weatherization, employment, nutrition and home energy assistance. The Genesee County Office for the Aging provides adult day care, in-home aide, transportation, and legal and tax assistance services. It delivers meals to senior citizens who are incapacitated due to illness, surgery, physical handicap or advancing age. The department additionally offers health care and recreational programs.
