Horrible customer service! I called to ask how late they were open. With 45 minutes before close and it only being an 8 minute drive, I thought I was all set. I get there and they tell me that nobody has the time to cut my hair. Two of the stylists, including the owner, were already packed up and ready to walk out the door half an hour before closing. Walk-Ins welcome? Really? Not even close. Did it occur to the owner when I spoke to him on the phone to tell me they didn't have time? Of course not! Did it occur to anyone that it takes a whopping 10 minutes to cut a man's hair? Nope. Congratulations on permanently losing yourself a customer.

Mike, the owner, has cut hair for 25 years and is not only excellent, he's personable and fun to know. The shop has a small town feel but Boston quality. I've gotten my hair done in Boston at the same shop (Pepe Leyva, winner of Best of Boston...can't remember what year) for 20 years so my standards are pretty high if I do say so. I thought sure I'd have to make the drive to Boston after moving to Barre, but, NO WAY! Mike is fabulous - no need to go out of town.



I just made an appointment, and the lady who took the call was friendly and helpful, too.



Town of Barre - Please let Mike put his sign front and center on Rt 122. The shop looks like an apartment building, and I only discovered it existed and then found the shop because it was in my GPS. I'd driven by it 100 times and never noticed.
