Around the Town Carriage

My only experience was on the phone. I called to ask if they would allow us to bring a small dog and the gentleman informed me that they do not haul dogs. As he was explaining this to me on the phone someone came in the business and I just hung up. He shortly called me back and I explained to him that I simply hung up because I thought the conversation was over..."he doesn't haul dogs". He then asked how big is the dog. I explained that the dog was 20lbs and he agreed to do it for $60 which is $10 more than the 2 adults. I simply asked him if he was seriously charging me more for a dog and he said if I charge for kids, "I'm damn sure gonna charge for a dog." Click! Remember he called me and I'm not let anyone talk to me like that, especially someone who needs me more than I need them.

We had visited Bardstown four years ago. We took a carriage ride from this same company, with 4 of us, and it was really great. The gal who took us, took her time, walked the horse, stopped places to give us the history etc. It was great.



Present day- came all the way from Salt Lake City Utah with a group of people, to do the same ride. To learn the local history etc. We UNFORTUNATELY got the owner.

He showed up, and seemed unpleasant the moment we met. He took us for a 21 minute ride, the horse trotted the entire time, and he barely talked about anything, and then you couldn't hear him because he didn't turn to us to talk. He then charged us $80.00 for 21 minutes. I was SO DISAPPOINTED, AS WELL AS EVERYONE ELSE WITH US. NOT ONLY WAS IT HORRIBLE, EXPENSIVE, AND BASICALLY A RIP OFF. Don't use this company. We will never go back to get a carriage ride there
