Cornerstone Barber Shop is like a time machine. You step though the door and smell the faint odor of hot lather, Lucky Tiger and After Shave. The shop is clean, the Barbers are friendly. I know most of them, so I feel comfortable greeting them with a bit of sarcastic humor. It is common to run into friends and family members at the shop. Going into the Cornerstone Barber Shop is like stepping into a Norman Rockwell painting. The shop has 7 barbers ... each of them are skilled at their profession and I have always received excellent haircuts. The barbers go along with whatever suits me ... weather it be joking, normal conversations or just settling back and enjoying being pampered. In this age of automation, what a pleasure it is to receive services from, and to be able to talk to, a 'real' person. Cornerstone Barber Shop, and other small businesses that specialize in different kinds of 'personal services', may be on the endangered species list. If there ever comes a time when a machine is programmed to cut hair, I will shave my head and call it a day. Until then I will continue to get my haircuts at Cornerstone Barber Shop.
