I have been a member of Curves in Hampden since 2009. I've found that in order to achieve the results you aspire to obtain; a three day workout session is necessary. My goal weight has been fulfilled and I enjoy every workout. The atmosphere is fun and energetic. The Curves staff and also my fellow workout clients are helpful and encouraging too. So COME TO CURVES IN HAMPDEN AT THE ROTUNDA!!

I've really been enjoying my 6+ months at Curves, especially the Monday night Zumba classes! It's a very non-threatening place to start a fitness regimen, especially if you're joining because you feel that you're out of shape and could stand to lose a few! Women here are of all ages, shapes, weights, and fitness levels. It's a collegial and non-competitive environment. No spandex required :-) You are your own &quot;competition&quot; and the staff is very good at helping you to measure your progress over time through computerized tracking and periodic weigh-ins and body measurements.
I've been coming to this curve for a few months now, and have really come to enjoy my membership with them. I must admit that at first, I was hesitant about coming there, considering many of the members are older than I am, but when I refocused my thoughts, I realized 1) that the workout was about me, 2) many of them are more in shape then I am lol, and 3) it really is a place to come without having to feel self-conscious about who I am, and how much I could or could not endure. SInce then, my progress has been great, so long as I show-up, which is definitely on me. No regrets!
In my many years of trying to stay fit I have joined countless health clubs and find myself enthusiastic and compliant for the first few months then the excuses start to mount--bad hour for class, too crowded and noisy etc Then last year I tried Curves in Hampden. I have not only increased my attendance time since starting but have also lost pounds and inches. Why the difference--no fixed "class" times, can go nearly anytime during the day. Work at your own pace. Instructors are helpful but not overbearing. And most of all it has become a family. We are all there for the same reason for the hour or so and the friendly chatter makes it all the more delightful..Try it, you'll love it.
This is THE place to go for women's exercise! YOUR effort determines how challenging or easy the workout is. If you are young and healthy and push yourself at every workout station, your heart-rate will be up and you'll be sweating in a few minutes. If you are older and cannot tolerate vigorous exercise, the program is flexible enough that you need not worry about injury. The Curves program targets all muscle groups and includes stretching after the 30-minute workout to increase the benefits of the exercise and increase flexibility. Carol, the owner, is always there to guide you if you need help or advice.
I have been going to Curves for Women at The Rotunda since it opened in 2004. This is the first form of exercise that I have been able to stick with for so long.
One surprising advantage of exercising at Curves at The Rotunda is the great camaraderie and many laughs that make you feel "at home."
I highly recommend it to all women. Try it once. You won't be disappointed.
What a delightful way to exercise! The Rotunda Curves is great. I like the staff...as well as the comraderie of the members. The place seems to be a great meeting place where people from all walks of life are getting together with a common goal...to get healthy. This Curves,especially,seems to have a great cross-section of people...and I like that.
The staff will offer positive suggestions and correct you if you're doing the machines incorrectly...they remind you that
it's to your benefit to use the machines correctly ,that you have done the important thing...have gotten yourself there. They also offer encouragement to members and seem to be sensitive to whether or not they want to excercise quietly or be part of a more vocal group. I've been to lots of exercise places and really like that about this place.
This Curves is a good place to be and I,for one,feel very fortunate to have found it.
I have been working out at the Rotunda Curves in Hampden for four years now. I am completely dedicated not only to Curves itself but this particular location as well. The staff is fun, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful - as are my fellow members. Ladies of all ages, races, cultures, shapes and sizes can work out in its encouraging and relaxed environment. i have been a member of several health clubs in my 40+ years and I have found that Rotunda Curves has been the most beneficial center for me. I would not hesitate to recommend Rotunda Curves in Hampden to any woman who is looking to get in better shape and have the support, care and guidance for which to do so ...
