I have been worked on by 8 different tattooists and the single artist that is "Charm City Tattoo", Jacki Randall, is one who I would recommend wholeheartedly above the rest.
Making an appointment with Jacki provides an experience in body art that takes place in a personal setting, you aren't one of five bozos getting inked by five other bozos in front of a television, which is too common an experience for people looking to get (especially) their first tattoo.
She is an artist of many facets i.e. painter, cartoonist, musician, and she is very far from what would be a disappointing tattooist - basically, she has been an artist for much longer than only tattooing, and it shows in the quality of her tattoos. I have gotten 4 tattoos from Jacki and I will keep coming back to her for work.
She also has a much more experienced/professional understanding of "health code" when it comes to tattooing, having been accredited from the state of Oregon (one with a higher standard in this regard than the state of Maryland..speaking as a proud Marylander I would not be tattooed in many other shops around the state).
Basically this artist truly knows what she is doing and provides an ideal experience for your next excursion into the realm of permanent body art. I highly recommend entertaining yourself with her website charmcitytattoo.com, scroll through her portfolio etc.
Jacki is great! I brought in my idea and she came up with a better design than I could ever have come up with on my own. She listened to what I wanted and put it all into the final design...It's exactly what I wanted and it turned out AWESOME! Jacki's artwork is unique and original.... If I ever get another tat I'm definitely going back.

This is the way it's supposed to be.
I called for a consult and afterwards sat down with the owner-artist (one person!!) who can actually draw up art work right then and there.
No attitude, no drama, no bs.
My appt. was set and then went very smoothly and seemed to fly by.
Very professional, and I love my tattoo!

I searched for the right place for me for a while before I chose to go to Jacki. I chose her because she is very professional and easy to work with. She knows her style and will not sacrifice it just to make money. The fact that she is the only one in the shop is great because you don't have to worry about tons of people hanging around. Her door is locked while your work is being done, which is nice because there are no distractions. She is personable and makes you feel comfortable with the entire process. Thanks Jacki!
I can't tell you how happy I am with my beautiful tattoo. What I wanted was something completely original and beautiful and thats exactly what I got! I would never go elsewhere and will be recommending Ms.Randall to everyone I know.
I search for a long time before selecting to go to Charm City to get my tattoo. The proprietress, Jacki, was not only extremely professional and talented but she was also friendly, charming and fun. We knocked around ideas and then after she did a few quick sketches, I decided on the design. Jacki listened to me and captured exactly what I wanted. Her studio is clean, her technique is swift and I'm very pleased with my tattoo. It healed without any issues. I highly recommend her to anyone interested in an original and quality tat! Thanks Jacki, you rock! -Jes
Thanks for the nice review! Much appreciated!
