General Info:
Annabel Lee Tavern is a little tavern located a bit off the beaten path in the Canton area of Baltimore City. It is here that we hope that our guests feel at home. We always offer friendly service and affordable cuisine. Our food is what we like to call, "upscale comfort". Our menu is eclectic but not pretentious. In addition to our menu we will always have at least six daily specials to choose from a good dose of vegetarian options. Our wine and beer lists are varied but not pricey. We, on a daily basis, celebrate Edgar Allen Poe, Baltimore, and Maryland. We have a lot of pride in our home, town and state. It is here that a couple can come for a romantic dinner for two. This is also a great place to play a light night game of darts with friends. In a nut shell, this is one place that guests can watch an O’s game by romantic candle light. Everyday we strive to be the best corner tavern in the city.

Must try it

I don't know why it only has three stars in yep, it absolutely worths much more! I ordered the duck fat fries, it's so unique and yum! I also love the crab cake and it's very pricey. The service is great as well!

Cozy and friendly

i've been to Annabel Lee Tavern 5 or 6 times. The food is always surpisingly good and the atmosphere is the most tastful Baltimore has to offer. The waitstaff and bartenders have always been friendly and helpful. The only drawback is that the place is small and fills up quickly. I recommend going on a weekday night to avoid a wait. There is pleasant outdoor seating when the weather is nice. Fleet street is not the quietest street in Canton, but it's much better than Boston or Eastern aves. The place is also great when you want to get away from the chaos that can be O'Donnell square at times.

Seemingly charming and different

So, I was a fan of this joint. Tonight I went for my third time and brought a fellow foodie. Unfortunately, her meal (duck quesadilla) was less than tasty or unique, but that wasn't the real problem. You see, the first time I went I had the best burger (topped with pulled pork and blue cheese, perfectly cooked) of my life. That experience unfortunately raised the bar, and I've since been disappointed not only by less than interesting food... i.e. boring, overcooked sliders, so-so crab pizza (a little overdone in Baltimore?), duck fat fries that are so salty and un-ducky that my dehydrated insomnia is not worth it. The place has such a charming atmosphere/decor and frequently changing specials menu with a fairly good beer/wine/cocktail list, that it's almost redeeming. BUT, consistent has been the level of service. I read another review about this, and it's very true. Each time I've been there, I'm made to feel like a complete inconvenience to the waitstaff and bartenders. Too cool for school anyone? It's so unpleasant, that I'll surely stop recommending the place to friends and visitors.
