Faces Med Spa Canton

I do not believe you will like About Faces Day Spa and Salon because a majority of the employees seem to think that they are special because they work there. In fact, they can actually be quite rude and insulting. I pay a lot of money for the services I receive - I know the prices are higher, but I thought it was worth the money for the ambiance and scenery. However, it is not worth being treated like a second class citizen! When I call, it always feels like I have to "beg" to get an appointment and that they are doing me a favor. Maybe I need to dress up when I go in, so I get treated with courtesy and respect. However, on second thought, maybe another salon will appreciate my business and money...

I have been to about faces for massages, and spa treatments, and it has been wonderful. About faces is beautiful, but looks are deceiving.



I cannot stress enough to find another salon. Yikes



I went in to see Lisa, the senior colorist at about faces day spa in canton. She gave me the worst blotchy dye job ever. First of all she over shot the color completely, dying me bright circus red and she missed chunks all around my face. I had a panic attack in the chair, this woman should have her license taken away, or go back to beauty school.

She has been doing hair 20 years but failed to apply color all over, or evenly.

It cost $200 for the worst color I have ever had, I was too terrified to even let anyone at that place touch my hair again.

I woke up everyday cursing her until I found a new stylist to strip all the color damaging my hair severely, but the color was too bright to get out without harsh chemicals.



Stay away from this salon, and especially Lisa for color.

This was my first time going to the salon out of pure desparation. I scheduled an appointment over the phone to have a pink and white acrylic nail fill-in. I was assured over the phone that they had and were able to do a pink and white acrylic fill-in. I was VERY specific because I realize that not alot of places/salons have the pink and white acrylic. Also the places that do have it usually only have a few technicians that are able to apply it. Once I arrived I not only waited 30 minutes past my scheduled appointment time, but once seated with my nail technician was appauled to find out that she not only did NOT know how to apply the pink and white acrylic, but also told me directly that she hated to do acrylic nails in general. In my opinion since this salon is not exactly cheap, I was concerned to pay any amount of money to have an individual who was not able to apply the type of acrylic I requested to my nails. While, the technician was very nice and tried to apologize and reschedule me the following day with someone who knew how to apply the pink and white acrylic, a woman named Becky, whom I am assuming is the manager made it seem as if it were my fault. She constantly went on that it wasn't there fault and there was "no way of them knowing that I wanted that kind of acrylic", even though when I initially called I was very specific with the girl as to not have this problem occur. Becky called me the following day to confirm she was able to fit me in and when I kindly told her I was not able to come in, abruptly told me that she had to move around alot of clients to fit me in as if I had originally caused this problem. I guess it was okay for me to rearrange my schedule to come in and have a service I was suppose to be provided not happen, hence wasting my time and ruining the plans I had made. All-in-all I was VERY dissappointed. I will certainly never go back or refer anyone to them in the future.

Yesterday was my first visit to About Faces in Canton. I had a gift certificate from my family and enjoyed a European Facial, Hair services (cut, style and color ) as well as a manicure.

This spa is customer service at it's best! The entire staff were friendly, eager to please and made me feel pampered not only with their service but their attitude! It is rare to find such personal attention today. To top it all off...there is a fantastic view of the harbor and city from the spa which is relaxing, an added bonus to this 5 star spa. If you haven't been to About Faces in Canton you must go! I'll be a faithful customer. Wonderful Christmas gift idea!
