It’s been a couple of years since I been to a salon and I’m not from Maryland and never had my hair done here since I moved here so I was terrified. I searched online for a African American Beautician and was able to book an appointment online the very same day at 6pm might I add. Shonte gave me a warm friendly greeting upon me entering. The shop was nice, very clean and cozy. I might add she also practices CDC rules for social distancing.👍🏽 She followed protocol and was also wearing a mask!
She was very professional and knowledgeable about my Hair concerns. I never style my hair, I keep it corn rowed under a wig 100% of the time and I’m all natural so I have No wave pattern. She knew exactly what to do and Shonte performed CPR on my hair. She gave me so many pointers on how to care for my hair before bed, when I get up in the morning, the do’s, the dont’s and how to make it last until my next appointment. Rest assured I will return because this was my very first time I received good certified education while receiving hair care. She is a model Beautician!! If there were more beauticians like her I believe people would have much healthier hair. Shonte is a very personable beautician and that goes a long way with me because I look for input on what works for my hair not one size fits all hair care. She doesn’t rush her craft and she definitely gets down to business where your hair care is concerned. The client she was working on when I arrived left looking like a million bucks and everything Shonte did to her hair was on point. 👍🏽

Shonte knows natural hair care and does a magnificent job at the same time. My hair was swaying with every turn and bouncing like a ball when I left!! Shonte Rocks and I love my color!! Shonte is not only a great hair stylist, she is a hair care professional. She has been doing my hair for over 7 years and I am still impressed with her work. A Touch of Te' is a wonderful shop operated by a fabulous young lady who is an absolute expert at hair care. Her talent for hair just doesn't stop at being a stylist, she has a gift for bringing your hair back to life as well as transitioning it to be strong and the healthiest it's ever been. The atmosphere of her shop is comfortable and welcoming. I've been going to Shonte' for nearly 3 months and in that time frame she's won my heart! Her service etiquette is beyond expectation. Whatever your hair needs, she will do. My hair was thick, breaking and on the edge of unhealthiness. After a few appointments, I consulted Shonte about going natural and she bombarded me with information to aid me in my decision to persue it. I am soooo glad I did! My hair has grown trmendously, it's vibrant and manageable beyond my belief. I can walk out of her salon looking like I have a perm, I am a living witness she's a miracle worker! I initially started with simple hairdos which I was pleased, then tried some updos which I was pleased and now I've ventures out to a sew-in weave for the summer..again I am pleased. There's nothing this lady cannot do. If you have little hair or lots of it, she's the best. Trust me you'll be back again and again! I have gone to Shonte for two years now and my hair has grown down my back. She is absolutely gifted at styling hair. I have had all kinds of problems with my hair in the past, from breakage to my hair falling out. Now it's longer and healthier and so much easier to manage. I watch Shonte do all kinds of hairstyles; long short, it doesn't matter. Everyone looks good when they leave. I'm so glad I found her.

A few years ago, I had the pleasure of finding Shonte to do my hair. She was one of the first stylists that promoted healthy hair growth, and took her time; however, I didn't fully appreciate and value her talent given different obstacles I was trying to overcome in life. Throughout the ups and downs I faced, I realized it would be best to re-write my wrongs and leave Shonte a much better and positive review compared to the one I left in the past:

Shonte always does an amazing job and quietly listens about my day. I showed her a picture of something I wanted but wasnt sure it would look good, she did it and did a STUNNING job! The cut was amazing and the color out of this world. I'll NEVER go anywhere else!! I would like to echo the sentiments shared in the previous reviews. As many women know, especially women of color, it can be difficult and stressful trying to find a good hairdresser. This is even more stressful when you are new to an area. Well my anxieties were completely alleviated by Ms. Shonte. She is truly a blessing - professional, skilled, and takes a real interest in the health of your hair. First of all, she accommodated me - a first-time client - on very short notice, and was very flexible with scheduling, expressing a willingness to come in early if needed. She began by asking me what my issues have been, both with my hair and with previous stylists. Based on that, she recommended various techniques for maintaining and protecting my brittle hair. I did not have to wait a long time to be seen, and she had me in and out for a relaxer, trim and style within 3 hours. Her shampoo was thorough, and my hair looked full and healthy when she was finished. Although this was my first visit, I feel confident that I have found my new hair home in Baltimore. Thank you Te!!!!

I have been searching for a stylist who is professional, honest, caring and knows her stuff. I can honestly say that Shonte is all that and more! From the first day i sat in her chair she was honest with me about what was going on with my hair. It was a mess!!! To say the least!!! Brittle, dry, broken,uneven and the list goes on. So Shonte took full inventory on what was needed in order to bring my hair back to life. Its been almost 3 month's since Shonte has been my stylist and i can already see a huge difference in my hair! When my hair looks good, i feel good. I have started bringing my 15 yr old daughter and her friends upon request. They love it! And we all know how hard it is to please teens....that speaks volumes about how much talent this lady has. I met Shonte while wearing braids I wanted to do something different but relaxers broke my hair off horribly Shonte looked at my hair confidently told me I did not need a relaxer let her do my hair I went to Shonte and she talked to me about hair care I was very impressed not to many hair care professionals get into hair care as far as hair health and Shonte did the end results were amazing I would of never thought my hair could look so nice in its natural state Shonte restored my confidence in going to a hair salon I was so tired of getting relaxers thrown in my hair and even though I would explain the issues that I am the hair professional attitude Shonte did not give me that she talked with me asked me questions concerning my hair problems and told me what would be the best regimen for my hair if I were to have any issues I know she's the type of stylist that would address and tell me how to care for my hair I think Shonte and her partner shaniece work wonderfully together and make a great team I am so glad I met them

I found A Touch Of Te' online and she took me as a walk in the same day in June. She was very professional and gave me an assessment of my hair which was over-processed. She provided me with a natural work around until I would be ready for another relaxer. When I returned to Shonte s shop in July, as promised she made my hair look absolutely wonderful. Not only diid she make my hair

look and feel great, she gave me a hairstyle that I loved and was very low upkeep for me. HUGE PLUS. I've had a couple weaves done before and none compares to the excellent service I received from A Touch of Te'. Shonte knows what she is doing! I mean my weave was done very well. My other experiences left me feeling every bump and stitch in my hair. My hair was done very professionally today. I can say this is the best weave I've ever gotten. She hooked me up! I noticed the difference as she did my hair. It is not bulky and it feels light like hair should feel on my head. So glad I went. I recommend this hair salon!!!

01/12/13--This was my first visit to House of Te and I must say, she is very professional and knows hair. My hair was severely damaged by coloring and overprocessing. It was a complete wreck when I arrived at her shop this morning. By the time I left this shop I was a completely different person. She really made my beauty show by providing me with one fantastic hair style. Believe me, she knows hair extremely well. Best in town!!!!! Please come and check her out, you won't be disappointed.
