I rented a car for the weekend. The car didnt have much gas in it. One of the employees filled the tank to 3/4 of a tank, not FULL. He said enterprise wouldn't let him put more in even though I asked for a full tank of gas. If you don't have a credit card, they will charge you $200+ for a deposit. I went the entire weekend without any charges made to the card. I called the next business day to make sure they had my car in the records. An employee told me that they did have the car and that my card would be charged $120 for the rental with a $200 refund. The next day I descovered that my card was charged $340 and that the refund will take a couple of days! I understand the deposit, but why take my money and give it back later?!

We choose Enterprise as they would pick us up at Amtrak and let us leave the card at the airport. Their website had a Dodge Magnum for 107 dollars for a 2 day weekend. $27 higher than a Charger here in Oregon. But we called their operator who said the car would be a Charger at 107 and confirmed they served the airport and were open weekends. All they had when we arrive was a P T Cruiser. It cost us the same. They said it is the same type of car as a Magnum (which they don't have) and a Charger (which was out). They do not have a drop box at the airport. We would have to return the car and call a cab at 4:30 am Sunday. And they are not open weekends at all. We returned the little Cruiser and called a cab at 4:33 am. I choose U S Cab and we recalled them three times always being told they are just around the corner. There is not adequate light for 63 YEAR OLD thath time of night. There is no bench to sit on. At 5:33 an intercept said that cell phone was no longer in operation. We did get the number (in the dark) for Yellow Cab that showed in 3 minutes and just barely got us to the airport in time for an early departure to San Francisco. I looked online and called their phone system and they still say they serve the airport, have a drop box there, and are open weekends. And guess what, a P T Cruiser IS CHEAPER THAN A CHARGER.
I knew Enterprise costs more. I had great service here in Oregon. No one in Bakersfield, on the reservation phone system would help. The owner of that agency uis Sacremento Enterprise which is reACHABLE AT THE FRESNO location. It is realkly hidden well. No one has called us back. I no longer trust Enterprise. I have had better luck at the discount agencies.
We choose Enterprise because they served the airport. After looking it up on the internet we called the operator. He said he could provide the same price of 107 dollars for a Dodge Magnum or similar. He also assured us the 24 th Ave. location served the airport and we could use a drop box for the keys there if after hours. When we got to Enterprise, the onlu car they had was a P T Cruiser. They called it a 'standard car'. I call it tiny. We were also interested in a Charger which was gone. It was our second choice with the operator. The people at Enterprise said 'take it or leave it'. We were late getting in to town and took it. We were way out of our way at that point. Sunday morning we took the car back and stood in the dark without even a bench to sut on. We had called U S Cab Saturday to be sure they woukld have transport available earl that next morning. We waited one hour and after several calls where we were guarranteed just around the corner, an intercept came on a 5:33 saying hat cell phone was no longer in service.
Enterprise acted as if we were stupid to go through the internet reservation or operator reservation system as they were incorrect. We still do not know how much we were charged for the very small Cruiser. I am told it was over the promised 107. This operation is part of Enterprise of Sacramento which has a Fresno 559 number. Everyone says they are sorry. We were lied to outright. I checked the internet site and it still shows the 107 price for a 'premium' car. WE paid that plus for a tiny Cruiser. And yes they will pick you up at the airport, but how do you ge back? The cab ride cost us over 20 dollars. We have used Enterprise here in Albany, Oregon and paid 80 dollars to a Charger for the same two day weekend. I no longer trust Enterprise at all.
They almost laugh when I complained. So sorry!
