Thieves! I tried to change bank accounts when I moved. This bank charged me $1000 in overdraft fees, refused to close my account just so they could rack up more fees on auto-pays that were directed to the wrong account via Paypal. Look at the profit margins from overdraft fees. Educate yourself! This is a scam. Look at Microfinance, Paypal ownership, and how banks like Bank of Sierra make their money. They rob peoples accounts any time they get a chance. If you ever switch banks and have a Paypal account linked to an old bank, it is best to close your Paypal account before you switch. Switching your new account to Primary within Paypal does not insure your new account will be the account billed from Paypal. Who would have ever thought? Nobody of course. "Primary" account normally means "bill this account first". Not with Paypal. Bank of Sierra profits off this small but convenient misunderstanding that it's customers would naturally have. I can't believe it's legal but it is. Read the fine print if you don't have a job and have the time to sit around reading the fine print. Their ultimate goal is to get you to overdraft by any means possible including but not limited to closing your account, routing your money the wrong direction through misunderstood bank vocabulary, new policies, or just plain being too poor to keep your money in the green after the first overdraft fee. They will drain your account their first chance they get. Banks like Bank of Sierra are nothing but cancers. The secret hell of banking local is that they will rob you if you try to move and bank with someone else. They make it very difficult to close your account so they can rack up more fees before you actually get to close the account.
