Steve at Stoneybrook has always treated my two dogs(Bear and Niki) great. They both look forward to going to Stoneybrook. The price for both dogs is very fair and we never have any trouble getting them in and they are always well cared fror.

We have been using this kennel for several years now, and Steve has always been very accommodating. He has gone out of his way to allow us to either drop off the dogs, or pick them up at odd times of the day. He obviously likes animals and truly seems to enjoy seeing our dogs. I would recommend to anyone that needs to leave their pets for any length of time to put them into Steve's hands.

We took our two English springers here. The kennel is clean and warm. Our dogs were walked frequentl, not put out in a run. When we picked them up they were clean and happy. They had been given blankets so as not to be on the cold floor. The kennel was clean of waste and they were well fed. I would recommend this kennel to anyone who had to be away from their beloved pet for a period of time.

I am new to the area. When I first moved here, I took my dog to a kennel in Brewer. Brewer was very inconvenient because it is so far away. In Brewer, you pay more for your dog to stay, each walk costs, and they don't even let you see where your dog stays.

At Stoneybrook Kennels, he is very conveniently located, has reasonable rates, and genuinely likes animals. My dog is a large and he gives her a long walk thru the woods and I think he said there is a stream. I don't even have that at home. My dog comes home happy and relaxed. He has a nice set up for the animals. It's not a palace but I know if I am off for the holidays or for a day of shopping in Bangor, my dog is safe and I don't have to worry. The kennel is loud when someone comes in, the dogs do bark a lot but that is what dogs do! Stoneybrook is very flexible with my schedule. He does often fill up on certain holidays but I just call ahead. I have had to bring medicine before for my dog and he administers it for me. I choose to bring my own food and toys. Overall, I recommend Stoneybrook Kennels! I can always count on it and know I never have to worry.

I have taken my dog blueberry there multiple times. I take her 1 to 2 times a month, each stay lasting about 5 days. I have no complaints. Blueberry is of course happy to see me and some dogs have some anxiety or are very standoffish for a couple days. Blueberry is not she comes back in the same condition I take her.

We brought our 2 dogs to this kennel while we went on vacation, the owner said it was an amazing place and they played music for the dogs and went on and on about the wonderful establishment- One of our dogs has seizures and we sent along his medication with directions. When we showed up 9 days later the dogs were filthy- The cleaning lady had thrown away the seizure medication shortly after we left and our dog had repeated seizures until he could not even get off his dog bed, when I picked him up he was completely covered in urine, feces and vomit and could not even lift his little head. The owners first words were " I was going to call you" We had left cell phones and contact information with him but did not receive a single call during the entire trip, he did not try to contact a vet to get more pills or even try to clean the urine or vomit chunks off the dog. The dog can not even use the bathroom and has had 8 seizures since last night and is looking like he will have to be put to sleep. When we asked for a refund to cover vet costs he out right refused. (We had to pay up front for the entire stay) We had also sent along a 10lb bag of dog food (Our dogs share 1 bowl a day as they are very small dogs) and when we returned the dog food bag was shredded with all but a cup left inside- They were given other food which has given the other dog stomach problems and has been sick all night. As a business owner in the area I can not even fathom treating customers this way- The owner should have animal welfare shut him down.
