Horrible Housekeeping

I have been to Catalina Island many times growing up in my life. All through the years, we have stayed in many different houses. I rented one from Catalina Island Vacations this past summer, and this one was very nostalgic to me and my family. We rented a house that I stayed in when I was a child and now it was my turn to bring my child to Catalina to start a tradition with him. The house we stayed in was so dirty every time I put my child down on the floor to crawl around, his hands and knees would end up black. I understand that this is a beach community, but if you are a business renting homes, the carpet should be cleaned at least once a month, or every other month. I was really disappointed, we even had to had a handyman come and fix the porch light, and door lock. The summer was one of the worst heat waves and they only supplied us with one tiny fan. The telephone continously rang with telemarketers, all hours of the night, we finally had to unplug it. If you rent from this company, be aware that the homes may not meet your cleaning standards. I felt with the amount of money we paid for this rental, was not worth it.
