My name is Mark and I am writing this letter as a recommendation for Richard Rucker and for Blue Diamond as Richard has gotten us through a tough situation. We had a problem with the previous contractor on the job. Richard and his guys handled it beautifully. The made us feel comfortable with what was going to happen and were always there to explain and answer any questions that we had. Our house had to be completely rebuilt from the frame up and Blue Diamond got it done as quickly as possible. The supervisor made us feel like our input was important and he kept everyone on the job in order to get it done in a timely fashion. With any contractor/home owner relationship there will be differences of opinion. We had ours with Richard, but he always calmly spoke with us about the pros and cons of our decisions and we came to a rational decision. Richard also didn't haggle with the money and the timing. He had everything laid out when money was due and what percentage was due, which was agreed to up front. In the event we had discrepancies in our calculations Richard always made sure that he wasn't over charging us. We are very happy with the job that was done to our home. Richard and Blue Diamond always acted in a professional manner and I would recommend them.
This was our first experience with a contractor and I must say we approached with project with a great deal of caution based on all the horror stories we have heard from friends about contract work and remodels. However we were pleasantly suprised by the experience: the finished product is beautiful, and 4 or 5 weeks it took to do the job were quite painless. We hired Blue Diamond Remodeling as the general contractor to remodel our master bathroom. The work was done in a very timely fashion. The most stressful part of the job was Richard's persistent reminders for all the things that we had to select, ie finishes, tile, windows, fixtures, paint and other design items. While the project was by nature a messy one that involved tearing down walls and ripping out existing fixtures, the people working dutifully and thoroughly cleaned up the area every single night so that, absent being short a bathroom for a while, we were really not personally inconvenienced by all the work. Finally, and most importantly, as I mentioned above, the finished product looks absolutely professional and is exactly what we wanted. It is a pleasure to take a shower and get ready every morning in our new beautiful bedroom and bathroom. sincerely, Ingrid and Mike
Hospice Austin was so much help to me and my family. My husband was diagnosed with ananplastic thyroid cancer at the age of 57. There is no cure for this disease. Thanks to Hospice Austin my husband was able to die comfortably, at peace, and with dignity in our home with his family, friends and beloved dog. This would not have been possible without all the the great support we received from Hospice Austin. I think their many years of experience is what made the difference. Not only did they help with my husband's physical and spiritual pain; but they helped me and my family with our emotional pain. Hospice Austin staff was always available to night and day. I took advantage of two of their many grief programs that enhanced my ability to grieve appropriately. I never felt alone when Hospice Austin was supporting me. I recommend Hospice Austin to anyone that may not be around in the next six months. Not only does the patient receive wonderful care; the family and caregivers are also supported and assisted through a most difficult time.
