Went to the store for a quick stop of ice, beer, lottery and other stuff. Upon checking out I was asked if I needed cash back. I stated yes. Went through my entering PIN # and putting away my credit card. Well I picked up my goodies, lottery ticket and forgot my cash back. I tried calling them back immediately after I left the store but had no luck in reaching anyone. It was about 6:30-7:00. I got up the next morning and called the store. I spoke to the manager and explained my situation. She asked that I come to the store and prove it. I did and received my money back. Thanks so much for the honesty. This Speedy Stop has my loyalty. I highly recommend the store for quick purchases to the lake and for anything else
I shop at this HEB at least once a week and each and every week, though I ask the packers to pack my bags light (I am an 80 year female and I have to unload those bags when I get home!) they never do. I believe it is a lack of proper training in customer satisfaction and I suggest to the supervisors that they look into this practice. Just now they had put a half gallon milk, a large bottle of lemonade plus two large bottles of Dr. Pepper in the same bag. Give me a break!
If you're looking for variety for lunch, Whole Foods is the place to go. There's something for everyone, from a gigantic salad bar to pizza and sandwiches, tacos, a grill and international cuisine. Especially when it's a pay per pound system, things can add up fast. My favorite cost control measure is to get a pre-made sandwich. The Barton Springs, with turkey, fresh greens, brie cheese and fig jam, is perfectly satisfying and under $7.
