Success! Thanks for posting your review of Seton Healthcare Network. You’ve done the world some good today.

The nurses are very kind. Doctors are in hurry... The surprise has been the cost after two days of intravenous antibiotics for a foot infection : more then $12,000. And bills keep coming without a clear explanation of the expenses. So I think Seton is running a ruthless business based on people's misfortune. If they could only stop showing the caring image on their advertisement that would be a first step toward hon... view more

Gastric Surgery Classes

Would highly recommend checking out other options versus using these classes. Waste of $100…you are just given packets and weighed in. No valuable information given. You walk out wondering why you wasted two hours each time.

Crooks. It's a shame

I have been there for two hours. Anaphylaxis. A shot and one prescptions. I got this problem in the late afternoon. When I arrived in ER I was almost better, and I wait in the Waiting Room for more than 30 min. I was better only scared. $3.300 the bill. Thanks crooks visit this site the facebook page ""Seton family of hospitals, it's a shame for Christians. clear""

Not breastfeeding friendly or knowledgeable as they claim

Not breastfeeding friendly, nurses are rude. Our son and our daughter were both born at Seton on 38th street. They claim to be breastfeeding friendly- I daresay, that is in phrase only. NO problems with our daughter's birth there 2.5 years before. For our youngest son, what a change. While they updated the rooms, they need to do the same with the attitudes and the beliefs held by the nurses. Our son was born at 8... view more

Be sure to double check your bill

They will charge you for things they didn't do. Specifically they charged me for four IV's when I didn't have one. Also they run a scam where they bill extra and call it a physicians bill. It's set up so no insurance company will cover it. You will always have to pay the full cost. But I've been told that if you haggle with them over the bill, they will take less money. It's supposed to be a 'Christian'... view more

Unbelievable Cost

Over $10,000 in CT charges with no firm diagnosis and no warning on cost of procedure. Took 5 minutes. Specialist later told me wrong exam was done anyway. Insurance company then said general cost for procedure is less than 1/10th what Seton Austin charged. Guess I'm lucky they didn't bill $100,000...

TOO expensive

Great ER, but BOY is it expensive. Waited 30 min (not bad for an ER) I knew what I had but needed antibiotics, i was charged around $2,000. Thank God I had insurance but still had to pay around 350 dlls. Too expensive!!!!!

Refuse all CT scans at Seton even if you have insurance -- $11,250 for undiagnosed stomach pain

I went in with abdominal pain and they did not find anything wrong. They sent me a total bill of $11,250. There were many charges but the three largest were $1600 Visit Fee / $4400 CT Scan / $4100 CT Scan. Accoding to American Medical Association Medicare reimbursement rates (as per their website) the rates for Medicare are $109 Visit Fee / $343 CT Scan / $337 CT Scan. BIG DIFFERENCE. What I should have done: Go... view more

Beware of the Cost (and cleanliness) of the Emergency Room!

Late last year I had a sharp pain in my left side and went to the emergency room at Seton. I was in the ER a total of 90 minutes and really received no treatment other than being told to go home and given a prescription for some pain medication.I was simply shocked when I received a copy of the bill for this 10 minutes of 'medical advice'. It was over $11,000 for Seton's ER alone and another $1,000 for actually spea... view more

AVOID!!! If they don't let you die, they will rip you off!!!!

I went in with a cut finger. I was told they could bandage it or put in a couple of stitches.\r \r I didn't have insurance so I asked how much for the stitches - I was told around $300.\r \r I opted for the stitches, and when I was leaving, they asked me to propay towards the bill, I paid $300.\r \r A few week latter, I get an additional bill for $400 for the doctor, and another bill for an additional $870 fo... view more
