response to october 2008 review
I am a waiter at santa rita cantina, and I was actually there the night that the customer that wrote the review had dinner. The reason I can remember this is because she was so rude. She was the talk of the staff the rest of the night......Now the truth. This customer did in fact order the chicken and when it came out it was not perfect, so her waiter had it sent back and had it replaced with a brand new dish. After that dish came out she still wasn't happy and at that point my manager came out, apologized, and offered to get her another dish to go because her bf had already finished his meal. He then comped her meal and thought the matter was over. After he came back to the table and saw that the togo food was left on the table, he went outside and informed her that she had forgot her food. At that point, she told him to feed it to a bum. He then informed her that it's a shame to waste 3 entire orders of food when others in the world were starving...she could have cared less. I know that an entire wait staff take pride in our food and service, and stand behind our manager. It's a shame the lies people tell just to be petty.
