    Upscale, yet Relaxed

Order tuna tartar for an appetizer and green chile macaroni as a side dish to your meal. We had a party of 6 and were served promptly and no orders were messed up. I tried everything on the table and looooved it all.

    Valentines Day

    Provided by

I got reservations a month in advance and was really looking forward to Valentines dinner as my first visit to Roaring Fork. We were promptly seated upon arrival, however it was next to a long table with 2 families. While this normally wouldnt be an issue, one of the gentlemen started taking pictures 3 ft away from us with a professional grade camera with a huge flash. After 5 minutes of non-stop picture taking it became quite distracting to our quiet, romantic dinner. I eventually complained to the waiter when it reached the 10 minute mark. His response was that the manager was aware and since they were on dessert, they were going to tolerate it and hope for the best. I tried to be accomodating but when he started taking pictures of dessert plates, and passed the camera off to a pre-teen to play with (who started flashing like crazy) I had enough and insisted something be done. At this point the waiter did approach the table and resolve the issue. \r I would say 15 to 20 minutes of flashing had taken place by then. It made what would have been a good meal, dissapointing to say the least. In fairness, I have written to the Regional manager who has assured me he has spoken to the staff and this won't happen again. I was distracted to the point I recall some of how the food was, and what I remember was good. The pineapple upside down cake was very good. I will likely try the place again and hope for a better experience.
