My best friend and I have been driving all the way from San Antonio (1.5 hrs away) for the past 2 years to hit up 6th and Pure is ALWAYS the first stop in our game plan. How is our loyalty repaid? By one Bluto lookin bouncer and one Jack Skellington lookin bouncer targeting us to try and kick my friend and I out for doing NOTHING WRONG. People were pushing us all about and I had my elbows out to protect myself from being knocked over in 3 inch heels. My friend had her hand up to protect her self as well. A very inebriated individual in an orange tshirt knocked so hard into me I spilled my drink all over myself and the poor person behind me. Natural instinct is to push him and get him OFF of me. So who does Jack Skellington fiercely grab by the arm? Yours truly. I explained to him what was going on but by that time Bluto comes running over and it was just nothing but stupid drama. If you're going to be a bouncer and kick people out of the club, kick the drunkies out who are running into people, not two girls who are getting knocked into and have to obviously fend for themselves. I am never going back there and for the sake of a drama free good time, I suggest ya'll don't, either.

Friendly atmosphere depending on which day of the week you go. I have never had a problem with the door (must be because I look older). I am a hispanic american male from NYC and I like the music and club but the people are mostly college kids so when I go with my wife we stay for awhile then go to a more mature hang out afterwards. \r What I really don't like is the bottle service requirement (same one that QUA nightclub uses) because unless you make over $100,000 a year you really can't afford it. This is Austin, a College Town (NOT New York city).

The most racist club on 6th. My asian friend came in with a v-neck shirt and was let in while my black friend was denied entry with a v-neck too. This was actually a test. The week before, we all wore the same size of jeans, and we are about the same height, my Asian friends and I were let in while my Latino and black friends were denied entry. This has been proven....don't try to get into this club if you black or Latino. I am white by the way. Thumbs down to Pure a thousand times

This lounge has a dress code and even if you are a well dressed African American you may be stopped so they can find something wrong. This place is not easily accepting of multiple races. I am college educated and well dressed but they still gave me a hard time. If you are looking for a fun and diverse experience, I would pass this one by.

I have been to this club's entrance maybe 10 times in a year, and thought I would finally write a review. \r The atmosphere is good, very miami (As I have lived in Miami). thats as far as my praises for this place will go though.\r As stated before I have been to the entrance numerous times, on Friday/Saturdays be prepared to be turned away if you have any ethnic background (NOTE: Sundays because business is already slow they will let anyone in). There really isnt a dress code, just something they make up for ethnic people so they cant get in. I'll give you an example: I wore nice dress shoes and was turned away, my white friend wore the same dress shoes the next day and I wore what he wore the day before and I was still the only one turned away. I have lived in Miami, so believe me I know how to dress when going out.\r This place is called ""PURE"" and not this is not just the name but thier ideology. They are PURIST, the most nazi people I have ever met! I beliece everyone should boycott this place! The BBB should investigate them.
I went there with a party of 10 for a birthday party and was told by one of the door guys that one of my friends couldn't go in because his shirt was too long and his pants were not tight enough. I decided to go in and look around the whole place by myself( all 3 floors) and to my surprise witnessed several other people in there with sweat pants on, with hawaiin shirts on, looking horrible but somehow they were inside the club.
When I asked the manager in charge why we were getting this unfair treatment, he had no real reason or answer to give me. He just said, it's not up to me it's up to the owner, I asked him where the owner was, so I could speak to him, he said probably home.
What kind of manager on duty of a big place like that has no authority on making any smart business decisions???
If they're going to enforce dress code, they need to make sure it's fair all across the board.
This, I pick and choose who I want to come in is total nonsense!!!!!!!
I will not recommend anyone to spend their hard earned money in this place and will make sure I let everyone know , word of mouth about how these idiots treat customers!!!!
Thyere are too many other nice places downtown austin to put up with jerks like them and much nicer places too.

I would never go back. The atmosphere is horrible, the music is mediocre at best, the crowd is young but the overall vibe is trashy. I would never recommend this club to anyone, best to enjoy yourself on west 6th instead.

Went to the JAy Z after party here. 1st time. Arrived around 1230am. Sat down at a table with my boyfriend, enjoying a drink. 15 minutes later we were kicked out of the ""booth"" by the manager (white guy, blond hair, black shirt) because they sold it for bottle service. Four guys showed up to spend $$$ on a bottle at 1am, so we were told to move it. We were told since the other tables were full, we were first to get kicked out of ours & that the others would eventually get ""sold"", too. Oh- wait- he said I could keep it if I bought a bottle. Thanks, buddy. Poor, poor customer service. I will never return to this bar and give them one penny of my hard-earned money.

This place is so much fun!! I've been there 3 weeks in a row. Everytime I go, I always get bottle service which is really afforadable. On Thursday & Friday they have 1/2 price bottle service, which is a great deal! I love the music they play & they always have a nice crowd. People there are really nice & friendly. No one seems to be all stuck up or whatever...I only had one kinda bad experience with my bill but management took care of it right away & was very generous. I highy recommend this place if you've never been...

Pure Lounge must be where all of the people from Dallas go when then come into town. No shorts? No tennis shoes? This place might be cool if they would forget their egos and realize that the casual atmosphere, in an upbeat progressive city is what makes Austin one of the best cities in the world. Not to mention that once you get past the discriminating bouncers, there is usually nobody inside since there are way cooler places to be.
