IF given any choice, would never go back to this hospital. Rude unprofessional doctors, and nurses totally undereducated regarding service dogs. On top of that, my fiance has a nasty infection from an IV stick.

Hate to complain, but this was BAD.

I was left in a room for over an hour,

screaming in agony,

supercilious little twerps looking in every 15 minutes

to promise help,

and they weren't even very busy that night.



No, it was no mystery,

I was CAT-scanned for kidney stones the day before,

and I had the diagnosis documents in my hand.



Went to Brack ER because it was the ONLY in-network provider in Austin.

Got the bills later--the attending doctor, Dr. Hunzelka,

is NOT in-network, so I get hit with an extra charge.

Insult on top of injury.

If you have a choice,

find another ER.

Stay away from Brackenridge hospital located on 15th st I 35 and red river area. It will be a waste of your time. On May of 2011 I waited for 4 hours to be seen by a physician named Dr. Drew Silver.



I had a lump on my neck that I was concerned about and wanted to get checked out. After waiting for an eternity he walked in took one look at it and I quote said "This is a waste of my time." I have been fighting this physicians bill ever since because Dr Silver thinks he's entitled to $135 for seeing me for 10 seconds. What a waste of my time!
