"Before we hired Mr. Lorenzana, we hired someone who never answered the phone, made unfulfilled promises, and the retainer fee was way above our finances. It was a complete nightmare. We went to his office once and he said said these exact words" you can't buy a louis vuitton for cheap unless its a knock off".. in order words you get what you pay for . On the other hand, Elias Lorenzana was worth every penny. Lorenzana is very straight forward with his answers.Which makes him such a great lawyer. Elias Lorenzana doesn't make promises he cannot keep. He will not give you answers to please you or to make you feel better, he will tell you exactly what will happen and what you have to do in order to be succesful. Lorenzana and his associates were always available and always very helpful. They answered all of my questions and kept me updated with everything that was going on. I would highly recommend Mr.Lorenzana to anyone who needs a lawyer.

Lorenzana is a CROOK!
Lorenzana Law firm is a shell company that scams honest working people like me out of their $5,000 retainer fees.
In mid-December of 2011, I hired Lorenzana to represent me and on January 6, 2012 I received a letter stating that they had used my entire $5,000 retainer fee. Not only that, but the attached invoice detail did not even amount to $5,000-- only $3,800!! They could not tell me where the remaining $1,200 went.
My hearing is in March and they are threatening to not even show unless I send them more money!!
DO NOT use Lorenzana Law Firm unless you want your money stolen-- they're crooks.

I have been disappointed that I was unable to help Mr. Page, particularly because he has a very strong case. I really wanted to take this one to hearing. He has perfectly good reason to be angry at the actions the state is trying to take against him. But as his attorney I was only trying to help him. In the short time I represented Mr. Page a lot of things happened that will not fit in the review space. His complaints in this review greatly mischaracterize what happened. In summary, the first bill (for December 2011 work) did contain an error understating my pay rate – this was corrected. When he called in January about the December bill our staff gave him “up-to-date” information including January billings that had not yet been sent. He then sent our bill back “rejecting” most of the reasonable and necessary work done to prepare for his case. The primary reason for my withdrawing from his case is that he was insisting that I appear at his hearing unprepared and willing to violate procedural and ethical rules at his whim. He made a practice of corresponding directly with the Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) without notifying me or opposing counsel, despite my advice that he stop and later the ALJ instructing him to stop. When I requested his consent to my withdrawing from his case, he wrote another ex parte letter to the ALJ threating her with legal action if she allowed me to withdraw over his objection. It is unfortunate that when the hearing does occur, it is most likely that Mr. Page’s prehearing actions and his probable conduct at the hearing will completely overshadow the fact that he has a great case on the merits.

A little research goes a long way
I'm in California but had a question about a note with what I hoped was collateral in TX, so I contacted the firm. Once I made it clear what I needed and sent all the docs, within 5 bus days they'd dug up the info and let me know what I could and couldn't do. When I couldn't proceed in TX, they gave me info on how to proceed in CA. The fees are reasonable and it was good to just get a resolution so I could decide what to do next.
