I have been to Jamila's Salon and Spa for year she always meets my needs when it comes to my eyebrows! I trust her with the products for example she has an hebal oil and shampoo for hair loss and when I went this time she had a face mask that she just began to sell I had to try it because she told me that she had been using it and seen a big change in her skin its been more bright and the pores where more tight! I bought one that day and went home and tryed it my husband even saw a diffrence in my skin. I'm very happy! she has many diffrent kinds of face mask and each one has it's on magic! One is papaya which diminishes wrinkles and rmoves black heads and many other that I can't wait to try! Its an excelent price for an excelent outome!

I went to Jamila Salon and Spa to get a herbal facial cause one of my friends recomended me to go see her because the week before jamila gave her a wonderful herbal facial for her wedding nothing made her happier than to see her bridal glow in the mirror. After my wonderful herbal facial she introduced to me her Herbal Ancient Ayervedic Oil and Shampoo she told me that this herbal therapy would increase hair growth and make the hair stronger. I took one of each for my husband who is loosing hair because of stress and for me because Jamila also said that it relaxes the mind. Right when I got home I tryed it and was very happy!\r Thank You Jamila

Herbal Oil and Shampoo at Jamila Salon and Spa
I went to Jamila Salon and Spa to get my eye browns done and she introduced me to her herbal oil and shampoo she told me that her products help all people with all types of hair.The shampoo strenghtens hair and increases hair growth. I was so happy to hear the news cause I was loosing my hair and I had to do something to reduce the hair loss. I bought the shampoo and oil and I have been using it for a few months now and I have been seeing results. My hair has been growing back slowly and I am very happy with the herbal products.

I had never had my eyebrows threaded, but my sister-in-law kept urging me to find someone in Austin and try it, so I did. Jamila is fast and it doesn't hurt unless you tense up your face. You are only red for maybe 2-5 minutes as opposed to the entire day it takes for the red to reduce after waxing. She even gets the tiniest little hairs and over time they grow back thinner. Attn Ladies: If you use Retin A or any type of acne cream that exfoliates your skin making it sensitive AND are a fan of hair removal (as in eyebrow and upper lip) Jamila's threading is your answer. (whatever you do, don't get waxed!) The spa is new and clean, service very friendly. She was extremely thorough, asked a lot of questions, stopped in the middle of the eyebrow threading to get approval that all looked ok - such a different experience than usual salon trips. I walked out of there spending $20 for lip and eyebrow threading, the job was superb. She's the real deal, been practicing this since she was younger overseas ... highly recommended.

I've been going to Jessica for nails & pedicures and she is really fantastic. Nails look great and last. They look as good when I go in as they did when she did them. Pedicures are great too. The toes are manicured to perfection. I recommend her to anyone.

Donie provides a calming, serene atmosphere and good company. She does trigger pointing and it totally relaxes and stimulates the whole body. You don't need a full body massage just get one of Donie's pedicures. I also decided to get a Minx Mani and ladies when I tell you this is the best thing ever invented. You don't have to wait for your nails to dry. Plenty of colors and designs to choose from. Check it out. This is a GREEN alternative to polish! Love it! Minx Nails

I disiked getting my eyebrows and my upper lip waxed because it always took a little skin off and I always got ingrown hairs, AKA pimples! I heard about threading and wanted to give it a try so I headed to Jamila's and was instantly impressed. Jamila not only has the knowledge but the skill in removing your unwanted hairs. I did try once to go somewhere closer, but the process was more painful and I found myself twitching in discomfort. I went back to Jamila and remembered why I liked threading. Jamila does an incredible job. She is quick, which makes the process almost painless.

Jamila is a pro. She looks really good herself, and she's really honest about the things that are wrong with you. For me, that's a lot. She does my eyebrow and facial threading, and I just got a facial by her today. She really looks at your face and analyzes what would make it better. I couldn't be happier with anyone else critiquing the way I look. I highly recommend her services.

No matter what anyone tells you, Jamila is the best at eyebrow threading. Tara's is expensive and they don't do as nice of a job as Jamila. Her salon is very professional and I've never had to wait to get my eyebrows threaded. Best experience and excellent prices!

I was searching for a place to get my eyebrows threaded, and found this spa and salon. I found the reviews for Melissa through this site and decided it was time to get myself a new stylist in Austin (since I moved from Houston). I tried it out, and got my hair cut by Melissa and my eyebrows threaded by Jamila. It was a very nice, relaxing environment. \r \r Melissa was awesome! She sat me down, told me exactly what would look good on me, and gave me a great haircut. She's young (as am I), and fun to talk to. I love this place now, because instead of paying the salon, you are paying the stylist directly, and they rent out the chairs. It's also a lot more affordable than Visible Changes and other chains.

Bigger isnt always better and ""chains"" don't seem worth your time. \r \r I was ecstatic when I saw Jon's little ad in the local paper. It caught my eye and I gave him a call. He sounded like ""someone i've known my entire life"" and I felt comfortable just from talking to him and seeing his ad. I met with Jon, we discussed my hair concerns and I gave him a try, just a simple cut but I loved it. I scheduled for a color consultation and I decided i wanted it a bit shorter for the summer as well. Jon didnt just cut and highlight me, he asked what color, texture and 'attitude' i was interested in. It was great how he blended colors based on what I said. It was truly a Custom Color....at a very affordable price. I sparkle in the sun and have NEVER had such a great experience. My cousins have started going to him as are some of my friends since he's in a great location and just so affordable.\r \r I am just so happy to finally find a guy who listens to what women want and makes them feel good when they leave. The salon is also very welcoming, very nicely set up, no loud obnoxious stylist while i was there, and a relaxing decor. I'm hoping to never again have to look for someone new !

I found my first grey hair at 18 years old. I had years of old highlights to hide the greys and wanted my natural brunette hair color back. The problem was that I really didn't know what that was. Melissa matched my hair color perfectly and whatever she does covers my grey hair completely. There's no fading or dulling. Also, recently I got sick of my super long hair. I had been thinking about cutting it for a while but was reallllly nervous. Melissa put me at ease, listened to what I wanted and gave me the most FUN haircut I've ever had. If I ever move out of Austin, I will fly in every 2 months just to get my hair cut and colored by Melissa. It is so nice to have a stylist who I can totally trust. Plus.... she's a ton of fun to chat with.

I just recently moved to Austin from Albuquerque, NM. I have gone to the same hair stylist back home for the last 8 years. After I moved here and got settled, all I could think about is how am I going to find someone that can do my hair as good as David did?!?! Well... I did, but she's BETTER!, actually she's the BEST! She was recommended to me and I figured I'd give it a shot. When I walked out of her salon, I knew I would never go to anyone else but her again! She is so creative and gives you her honest opinion. Everytime I see her, I give her a little input and she just goes with it, and I get exactly what I want, if not better everytime!!!

A friend went to Jamila's to get a perm and she just loved it...I found out that Gail was the stylist so I made an appointment with her for a cut and color. The facility was very nice. Gail took the time to talk to me to find out what I was looking for. My cut was fun and sassy. The color was just wonderful. I didnt know what i was looking for, but after our talk, Gail showed me some different color options and we chose one.....I LOVE IT....it was a wonderful color, a mixture so I was different than anyone else. She was just what Austin is all about... eclectic .. i feel special and would totally recoommend Gail.

Melissa Mealer is the best stylist I've come across in Austin. She is the first hair stylist to truly understand my style and give me the look I want: edgy but classic. I always feel like a rock star when I leave her chair. Not only is Melissa a great intuitive stylist, the experience is always pleasant. Melissa is very easy going and easy to talk to. She always remembers what is going on in my life and seems genuinely interested in hearing the updates. I highly recommend Melissa. I won't be going to anyone else.

I heard about this salon and Jamila's facials and threading from a friend. She mentioned this salon as \r the ""best kept secret in town."" Prices for all the services they offer are so reasonable! I have had many facials in well known salons and spas around town, but this facial was without a doubt the BEST, and most RELAXING I have ever experienced. Jamila puts you at ease immediately. I was pampered and my skin was so refreshed it glowed! The threading of my eyebrows was great too! Jamila gave me a great eyebrow shape....its been like an instant eyelift! I Love it!! Everyone was so nice and made me feel very comfortable. I booked my next appointment!
