Let me get this straight James M. You are bashing a company because you didn't like the way their estimate was written. You never did business with them. If you didn't like the estimate turn it down and move on to the next time. I used this company for my project and they were very professional. Their estimator was very knowledgeable, took many notes and pictures. He also came back out with the cabinet vendor to make sure we were all on the same page with the design. Their estimate was spot on and I paid nothing more except the extra lighting I added during the job. They were not the lowest bid I received and not the highest. They came in right in the middle. The estimate was very clear on the work they were going to preform. The prices were not broken out completely, but I was OK with that. It's not my business what their profit and overhead is. If I didn't like the total I would not have used them. I was very happy with my kitchen remodel and I'm on their schedule for my master bathroom. So I give them 5 stars.

Be very careful initiating a quote with this company. They will come out to your home multiple times and collect very little details about your project. They will then ONLY write you an estimate after you ask for it and my opinion is there is a reason they collect so little details. They will NOT provide any details cost / task breakdown in the estimate. You will pretty much get an over quote with little to no details and no breakdown at all of task/costs. Asking the president of the company for this info will not yield any results either, he will say he does that to protect the customer, when in fact all this does is pad the bid with assumptions that are hidden from the customer. In my experiences their bids are about 40-60% higher than other vendors in Austin so be careful with the FIXED PRICE no details bid as you may be paying more for things that can be done cheaper by other vendors.

The job was done in the time stated, quality and detail of work completed was just what I wanted, price was very reasonable, and Jonathon and his crew were personable, accommodating and reliable.
