Austin Carriage

We LOVED the carriage ride with Beth. We were celebrating our 25th anniversary and she was awesome and was so very friendly!! We will definitely do it again sometimes in the near future. One thing though... we were staying at the Radisson and asked the lady at the desk how to go about getting a carriage. She said we would have to walk down to the Driskill Hotel to catch one... but the carriage will bring us back to the hotel. I knew that info was wrong because I had looked you up on the internet about a year ago. Thats where I went back and got your phone number and had Dale call you. Perhaps you might want to set the hotel straight so you wont possibly be losing business.

I am downtown constantly, so I see the carriage horses all the time. I've lots of time to study the horses and drivers and I can honestly say that there is a HUGE difference between the carriage companies. Austin carriage horses are obviously well fed and well taken care of. They look alert and happy and healthy, unlike the other carriage companies' horses. And their drivers are always happy to give directions, restaurant recommendations, or just a friendly 'hi'. (The others seem to always be slouching in their seats, looking bored, reading a book, or have their cell phones glued to their faces.) I haven't had a chance to ride yet, but you can bet that when I do, you'll find me on an Austin Carriage.
