They have a nice little store with some fantastic pool and spa displays. Their staff is very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful.

My husband and I have been A-Tex customers since 2006, after moving to Southwest Austin from Lubbock. We've bought our chemicals from Joann and don't have one bit of a complaint about our experience as customers. Quite the contrary, she's just as sweet as she can be. I recently went in to get some chemicals and was informed by Joann that she purchased and owns the store she's managed for years. I said GIT IT GIRL! It is now called A-Tex South. I felt I needed to write this review because we've never had a problem at the south location. It seems to me that the majority of complaints on this page might have to do with the other A-Tex locations. I think there are two others in town with different owners.

These guys are the absolute most dishonest people in the spa/pool business. They will have you sign a contract that says after you make all your payments, they can substitute the produce you have paid for already for something else. You can sue, of course, or go through the useless Better bus'ness Bureau. But, you will have a costly fight. They have lawyers on retainer for their cheating contracts.

Better Business Bureau. They have more complaints against them than all the other spa people combined! They lie, get caught in their lies, and just keep on cheating people. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE!

I guess you can add me to the long list of customers who were lied, cheated, or swindled by A-Tex Family Fun Center. They ripped me off on their lay-away plan, giving me a pool table that was not what I paid for. It ain't worth going to court over, but I will never buy from them again.

In June of 2006, I found a champagne colored Sunlighter spa in the showroom of the Round Rock A-Tex Family Fun Center, and agreed to purchase the tub on a 12 month lay-a-way. I made monthly payments for almost a year, always seeing my beautiful tub in the showroom with the "Sold" sign on it each visit, until I went in April or May 2007, the tub was gone. "It was recalled by the manufacturer," the manager, Shaun, reported, "the champagne color was cracking. Wait until the new colors come out to pick a new one," he added.

When I contacted the manufacturer, they reported that there were no such problems and the tub was not recalled.

The store owner, Chris Secard, informed me that the tub was sold to someone else to make room for inventory. The champagne color is not available anymore. He pointed out that the contract says that the company has the right to make changes to the product offered based on availability.

I don't want another color, so I asked for my money back. "Sorry, no refunds, it's in the contract," he added. "You will just have to pick another color."

I had to take these bastards to the Better Business Bureau to get my money back!!! DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!!!
