I can't express how grateful I am to Perception Fitness and it's founder Ashly Dunn! I started working out with Ashly in February (a month before my 40th bday) and by August I had lost 30lbs! Not only have i lost 32lbs to date, but I've kept it off! Ashly has educated me about working out (I've never worked out in my life) and nutrition as well. Even though I no longer train with Ashly, I pick up the tools that she gave me and use them in my daily life! I am only 7 lbs away from my goal of 135 and am almost back to my old self! I can HIGHLY recommend Perception Fitness! I am not self motivated when it comes to exercise, so when Ashly would text me at 6am and tell me to do 25 crunches and hold the plank for 30 seconds, even though I was cussing her, I did it and it has paid off! She goes above and beyond with all her clients and treats each of us as if though we are her only one paying specialized, personal attention! She will create a work out just for you and you can trust her advise and guidance to a healthy, beautiful body. Not only this.....SHE'S AFFORDABLE! She has great start up specials and I hope all you ladies take advantage and change your lives! Connie
I've been a Gold's member for about 8-9 years now, and as far as I know, this is the only location with a pool. I thought they used to have one down south, but I guess they don't anymore. This Gold's has some pretty nice little features. They have two different cardio studios and a separate spin room. Their 3 lane pool is heated and is pretty well maintained. They also have a machine in the dressing room that will wring out your wet bathing suit for you. The machines here are newer and nicer too. Probably the most impressive to me is the theatre room where you can do cardio on machines while watching a movie on the big screen. Outside of the theatre room is a flat screen monitor so you can see what movie is on and at what point the movie is playing. Probably the thing I like least about this gym as well as the other Gold's gyms is that it's not really a 24/7 gym. On the weekends, it closes at night and doesn't open again until 8am. Believe it or not, there are people like me with odd schedules and workout hours. You'd think they would keep a nice big one like that open 24/7. It's otherwise a pretty nice gym to workout at.
On my first visit, I discovered the choices on the menu to be great. I wanted to sample everything. The house salad was fresh, flavorful, and just the right amount of dressing, and enough to share. I added the shrimp, which were jumbo, very tender and not overly seasoned. I also, tried the fruit and cheese plate, again delicious, enough to share. Instead of having an entree' , I tried the pork skewers, they were tender and very good. I look forward to going back and trying the clams. The table next to me ordered those, and asked for bread to mop up the soup, which tells me they were delicious. The service was great, the food was fantastic. Yes, I look forward to trying something new.
