I rent frequently for work travel across Texas. As with most Enterprise locations (and rental companies in general), you usually have to wait in line, it seems like there's never enough staff to get you to your car right as you walk in. I only had to wait for about 5 minutes though. I had a very pleasant experience. The only other downside to this location is that the cars are stacked in lanes (since it's housed in the bottom level of a parking deck, they have limited space) so the car at the front of the line usually seems to be the one you get for you respective class. The past few cars that I've gotten have been my favorites (Brand new Mazda 3 and brand new Nissan Maxima) but I could see where this could be a problem if you didn't want the car at the front of the lane. Overall, the staff is always friendly here, the cars seems to be newer with lower milage, and the service is usually prompt. I've only had to wait for extended periods a few times.
March 8, 2010 was the first time I had ever rented from Enterprise, I highly recommend them. As soon as I walked in the door I was acknowledge, and advised someone will be right with me (when they were assistaning another customer). The transition was very smooth. I drove a Nessian for about a week and the engine maintenance light came on, I contacted Enterprise and made them aware of the issue, and one of the gentelmen told me to bring it in and they will give me another rental. When I arrived to exchange cars I was in and out within ten minutes! The vehicle was started and the AC was on, and it was clean on the inside, and I was set to go. On all three counts I visited Enterprise I was on a time cruch and never was I late nor felt rushed by the employee's to get to the next customer. This Enterprise have a great team, professional and reliable.
I have been renting from Longhorn for many years and I am still a loyal customer. I like to rent compact cars for long distance trips so that I'm not putting the miles on my truck and it still saves me money in gas because they are so affordable! The staff is always so helpful and the website is easy to use. I would definitely suggest that you reserve online in advance and also know that they require a deposit and debit cards are not accepted for a deposit for obvious reasons. Have either a credit card or cash available and call ahead to find out how much your deposit is depending on the car. I have searched many places in Austin and I can quarantee you will not find a better deal. Great price, wonderful service, and you're supporting a local business!
