They sent BRANDON out in less than 45 minutes. He was neat, courteous, and VERY efficient. Calling a plumber can get real scary; you just never know what you're getting into. I will recommend AAA Auguer to all of my friends (already have to the neighbor next door). Price was pleasing, too.

I had Pop-A-Lid come out last minute because I had a lot of water standing in my yard. I had no idea where the septic was and they told me not to worry that they would be out and take care of everything. Digging was an additional charge but not like taking an arm or leg, plus it was like 2 feet …

Since plumbers have a reputation about on par with lawyers and politicians, I didn’t have high expectations, but I had read some good reviews. I read that several people had been especially impressed with Marc Ramirez, so I requested him. Everything about the service call was perfect. Marc was polite, friendly, efficient, and cleaned up before he left. He explained the rationale for his recommendations and found a way to do the pricing that was advantageous to us and even gave me a better discount than the coupon I found online, so now I can keep it for my next service call. Marc is great at what he does, has a great attitude, and has truly excellent customer service skills. I signed up for a program where you automatically get assigned the same service technician for any future visits, which is a big plus. I normally avoid the big names with service companies because I feel like just a number and prices tend to be higher, but my first experience with Roto-Rooter couldn’t have been better.
I've been using Alice Plumbing for at least 10 years here in Austin, Texas. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate having found a plumber I can trust and who is incredibly professional. Alice Plumbing has installed, maintained and repaired plumbing and gas products I've purchased. So friendly, prompt and customer service oriented, I've learned from from my experience with Alice Plumbing to ask them first when considering a product for purchase. When you ask for an opinion, you get an honest assessment from a professional. In less than a minute, the guidance provided allows you to make your own decision based on the pros and cons from personal experience with the product. If he has no personal experience with a plumbing or gas product, he'll tell you and he will also share the knowledge gained from the experience of others who have installed, maintained and repaired the product you are considering or actually have installed. Alice Plumbing is the best!
Pure Plumbing Service is runned and managed a friendly, fast service gentleman who got the job done well. His knowledgeable about his field and takes action quickly. He got the job done within the hour and what can I say, he was very affordable. I have kitchen faucet running with a good stream of cold and seeing a GOOD stream of hot water was just the best thing. He even got my washing machine hot water functioning again and I did not have call an appliance repairman for that. My philosphy of supporting the independently own smaller businesses is by far better than going with the big commercial businesses who charge big bucks for their service. So if your are needing a plumber in south or soutwest Austin, this is the guy to call at 721-8068. One last positive comment, his work is guaranteed for a year. Super!!!
I haven't thought about my plumbing since I had my house built 6 years ago....That's a good thing. I am now thinking about adding another bathroom upstairs and I have no doubts about going right back to the same guys who put my plumbing together in the first place. Randy is a true professional and very easy to work with. I think his "right hand man" on my house was Doug, if I remember correctly. Both Randy and Doug were fantastic and a lot of fun. I never heard a complaint when I ask them to come back out and fix something or take another look. Randy suggested we go with the gas water heaters as well and we couldn't be happier with that move. If you are building a new home, insist that your builder give these guys a shot. You won't be sorry. Happy in Dripping Spings.
I called 2 plumbers prior to calling Plumb-Quick on a Saturday night the day after Christmas due to a back-up, neither plumbers had anyone available and yet their ad in the Yellow pages claimed 24 hour 7 day service. Plumb - Quick answered the call with a kind voice and he said his crew was tied up but as soon as one became available he would call me. An hour later I got a call saying he was on his way. I expected the repairman to be upset to walk into such a mess but the contrary. He was very understanding and considerate. I was impressed of his attitude. Unfortunately my problem was a septic problem but without his determination to solve the problem I am not sure I could have fixed this as quickly as I did. Thank you Plum-Quick I will use your service again. Dave Chatfield
Wow! No wonder the name of their company is SUPERMAN! They are awesome!!! My water heater just all of a sudden stopped working and I called them freaking out to get it fixed (because I didn't want to take a cold shower)...they calmed me down and said they would have someone there that day! Next thing I know not even an hour later their office calls and they are sending someone out. Turns out my water heater was leaking, luckily we caught it in time...They had my water heater replaced in less that 2 hours and under $500.00!!! It's never worked better! I recommend this company to everyone I work with, my family, and friends. They have a strong supportive staff, they understand crisis situations, and most of all they are trustworthy! THANK YOU CLARKE KENT PLUMBING!!!
I had Clarke Kent Plumbing come out to do a big project for us installing some random things in a new house we just bought. They installed 3 new faucets, 2 sinks, 2 toilets, and a new water heater. It was a lot of work. Would have take me and my husband forever. The team came and they were clean, friendly, and knowledgeable. They communicated with us throughout the whole project. What I like the most is that they do the work right the first time, they are nice, and scheduling with the office was easy. I recommend this company over all the other ones we tried to use. The second we picked up the phone with them we knew it was the right choice. Call Clarke Kent Plumbing before you call the other jokers out there who will toss you around on even getting a quote.
Knowledgeable, courteous, fair We had a leaky kitchen faucet with a difficult setup. I was afraid the whole counter would need removal in order to access the faucet. The plumber was very knowledgeable, and was able to fix the multiple issues, and for very reasonable price. We had originally sought help from another plumber, who was truly incompetent, did not know the product (though it was a major brand), and identified only one of the multiple issues, which he was unable to fix. The plumber at Johnny Rooter was knowledgeable, fair, and able to completely remedy the situation at a reasonable price. Our faucet now works better than it has since we purchased our house 3 years ago.
They replaced a water heater that had a sudden and profound leak, resulting in interior flooding. Radiant Plumbing staff were very professional, courteous, and quick to respond. They described the problem thoroughly, but in simple terms and provided several cost/equipment options for the replacement. The costs remained the same as the option I selected and was reasonable for the work performed. The work performed was very professional and there were no clean-up issues associated with the replacement water heater and the service personnel and office staff were quick to respond and patient with my questions.
Wow. I found a guy off craigslist that I thought went way above and beyond the call of duty. He's a master plumber. The name of his company is Pure Plumbing. Phone 721-8068. I called yesterday because I had a lake in my yard (this was BEFORE it rained) and he correctly diagnosed my sprinkler system over the phone, came out first thing this morning and got started on the repair, showing me what he was doing along the way. GREAT service and attitude. Then he fixed my toilet and even noticed my window was off track and fixed THAT. And he accespts credit cards.
If your toilet is losing water, the problem can usually be quickly identified by taking a look inside the tank.
Under the tank's lid, you'll see a few items:
To understand what could be going awry in your toilet, it's best to first know what happens with each of these items. When you flush the toilet, the handle pulls on a lever attached to the flapper's chain. The flapper then lifts up and lets the fresh water in the tank flow into the bowl.
As the water drains, the float drops to the bottom of the tank, which triggers another lever. This lever turns on the pump, and begins to fill the tank up with fresh water. The pump is turned off when the float reaches the top of the tank again. The water should not go past the top of the overflow tube.
An old or damaged flapper is one of the most likely culprits behind a running toilet. The flapper needs to create a tight seal so water doesn't leak down into the bowl. If water is slowly seeping past the plug, the float will eventually be lowered enough to trigger the pump to turn on.
To replace the flapper:
Flappers are generally pretty universal, so the biggest thing you'll need to take note of is the size. Older toilets generally have a 2-inch outlet valve diameter, while newer ones more likely have a 3-inch outlet valve diameter.
The resting place of your float is key here. If the float naturally rises above the overflow tube, the pump won't turn off until the water reaches that position. Then, water will go down the overflow tube, lowering the water level in the tank, starting the process over again. To solve this, simply readjust the rod so the float's resting place is below the overflow tube.
When the toilet isn't being flushed, the chain leading to the flapper shouldn't be too tight. This could be lifting the flapper enough to let water through. Check the flapper position and the chain and adjust as needed so the flapper shuts tight.
