Broadview Kennels

I highly recommend Broadview kennels, I had an emergency come up last minute. I contacted a few boarding places closer to my house including Petsmart they all told me they need a day or two before boarding my animals. Broadview was the only one to accommodate me in my dire situation. They board dogs, cats , and pocket pets. They also do grooming and training. I could tell that they we’re well taken care of due to there few extra pounds and they smelt good. I am so happy to have a place I can trust with my family members!!!

Have been using the Groomers here for over 9 years. The groomers here were the best, most considerate I had ever found. Enter new management and every groomer was driven off. Unfortunately for my dog I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Last week (8/20/14) I brought her in for a bath and a haircut. When I picked her up she had been shaved all over, without my permission. The explanation was that as they started on her legs they had to keep cutting her all over to make her look even. Needless to say I was furious (They refunded my fee). My poor puppy has spent the last week in misery. She had multiple cuts (caused by the clippers) all over her stomach. She has been unable to even walk for a week. She now spends her time hiding under the dining table or our bed at night. I have to coax her to even eat. The new management seems more concerned with planter boxes and lines in the parking lot.

IF YOU LOVE YOUR PETS DO NOT TAKE THEM HERE!Just so ever one is aware this is not a posh facility. In fact its far from that. If you want to put your pets in this facility you should be ashamed of yourself. This kennel is not as it seems hence the reason you now have to set an appointment to view the facility. What do they have to hide? Well let’s start with the grooming shop: they use dish detergent to wash the animals in a room that mold is growing in. they use high velocity dryers around the face eyes and ears of your pet. They are not required to be licensed and they do not drug test. They claim to have a groomer with 14 years’ experience when in all reality she left the company many years ago. Your pet may sit in a kennel for hours and if your pet is “hard to handle” then he/she may even be tethered and literally hanging inches off of the table suspended in the air, or locked in a kennel and sprayed with water until they are soaked and terrified to let anyone near them. Their laundry room which is located just off of the shop also has mold. Now for the kennels, your dog may have feces in their kennel all day even though the big pieces are picked up they only wash them once a day nd while washing the kennels your dogs are either locked inside to defecate where they sleep and eat or they are locked outside in extreme weather conditions. There is constant flow of urine through these kennels they expect because it is on a graded concrete that it will drain and dry, however it does not. If there is a large amount of rain this kennel nearly floods almost every time. Your cat kennels are only tidied up once a day and fed once a day. Most of which are extremely terrified most of the time. They are given medicine including iv fluids by untrained staff. Part of the time these people will use medications/drugs that are not prescribed to your pet. Now for the training; most of the training is normal except however when your dog is practically hung by a slip lead or choker collar and choking until they give up or do as they are told. Not to mention the fact that some even kick the dogs and I’m not talking subtle taps to get their attention but full on kicks. to put this simply… these people were not meant to own/run/work in a facility of this nature especially lately. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE! IF THERE WERE A ZERO OR NEGATIVE RATING I WOULD GIVE IT!

I take my puppy here for training. One on one class and it ends up cheaper then going through petsmart. My puppy is doing amazing and I have learned so much! the only way to train!

Groomers are nice, but my cat had to wait 4 hours before getting groomed. I was originally told it would only take 3 hours at most, but when I didn't recieve a call 4 hours later, I went in to check on her and found her sitting in the dog grooming area in her cage. She was really stressed out being around strange dogs with lots of barking going on. They also left her in the same area when she was coming off of the ketamine sedation. It took about 5 hours total for service, 5 hours of stress for my cat.
