Our goal is to promote long-term maintenance and health of teeth and jaws so patients can keep their own teeth for a lifetime. Services include: * Porcelain low-friction braces * Hidden custom gold or silver braces on the back side of your teeth * Silver low-friction braces * Invisible braces by Invisalign * Affordable monthly payments Quit hiding your smile! Feel more confident, make it easier to clean your teeth, handle periodontal or future periodontal issues and chew pain free with a healthy functioning bite. Orthodontic care may begin in some patients beginning at age 7 with full treatment orthodontics typically occurring in adolescents ages 10-17. Adults may be treated at any age, but the sooner the better so that damage does not occur to the teeth because the bite is incorrect. We believe beautiful smiles result in confidence and increased self-esteem. Our office is in Centennial, at the intersection of East Smoky Hill Road and South Picadilly Street in the Rite Aid Shopping Complex. Call today for a free consultation.
Our Comprehensive exam includes an oral cancer screening exam. Some adults may need to have a set of mounted models made in order to make a more accurate diagnosis of the position of the jaws in relation to the head. In this case, special measurements of how the upper jaw is related to the head and to the lower jaw are made and then transferred to a mechanical device.
To make space for crowns, bridges or implants when teeth have shifted to poor positions. (This may be needed as a result of the premature loss of teeth due to decay or gum disease.)
Upper braces were used to correct this anterior crossbite as part of an early interceptive treatment. Before treatment, the lower tooth was always loose due to her bite. The bite was causing trauma to her tooth every time she closed her mouth and may have resulted in the need for a root canal or lose of the tooth. The position that the lower tooth was forced into was also preventing the gums from develop normally around it. When some of the teeth that come in first do not erupt in the correct places, the rest of the teeth also tend to erupt in the wrong places. She will probably need a second phase of treatment when all of her permanent teeth come in.
Surgical treatment (Orthognathic surgery) in conjunction with orthodontics may be needed in cases where the jaws are too far apart to correct with just braces or Invisalign.
