CROWN OF GLORY BRAIDS

In May, I made an appointment via messenger on FB. They inboxed me the morning of my appointment to let me know they were running late although I called two days prior to my appt to confirm. Although I was disappointed with the lack of promoters and concern for others' time, I was pleased with the outcome of my hair. First strike. In early August, I called to make an appointment with the hopes of a better concern for time. I get to the salon and wait. And wait. And wait. A client shows up and later her stylist. We all go inside the building and I continue to wait. Caroline finally shows and proceeds to do a wonderful job with my hair. Second strike. So while I am in the salon, I attempt to make an appointment for August 26th - third style of appointment making. I explain to Caroline I have a baby shower but I really need to get my hair done for a vacation the following weekend. She tells me to make the appointment online because of how they prioritize appointments. The priority is online, stop-bys, then phone calls. Maybe this is the answer. Maybe I have found the key to promptness. I leave that day thinking I have figured out the secret... I make the appt for 9 am August 26th. I make my deposit of $50. On the day of my appt, one hour before my appt, Caroline texts me to say she will be an hour late - STRIKE THREE. At this point, I am livid. Now she is messing with plans I had for the day. I can't do that. I call another salon to make an early morning appointment. I respond to Caroline asking for a refund because this missed appt is not my fault. She said I would get it. Three days later, I call my bank to dispute the charge because no refund was issued and she stopped responding.

This place has no concept of time and no respect for customers time. Hair styles are good but you have to weigh your options.

When I came in I was greeted. Caroline started soon as a sat fown, shevwas very nice and asked question. She took my micros out fast and didn't take out my hair. She was making sure she didn't cut my hair. Had a great experience there . Would not mindcoming back.

I will state that in the beginning 2011 I received "GREAT" service from CAROLINE ONLY. While all of the ladies are very nice I pay $200.00 for great service as well. When the service began to deteriorate...when another young lady placed in my micro braids...i went to the salon and expressed by disappointment as nicely as I could however, they wanted to CHARGE ME again for what THEY FAILED to do initially. On another occasion I made another attempt and EXPRESSLY stipulated that I wanted Caroline ONLY to place the micros in my hair. Caroline began the process and within 20 minutes Caroline began complaining that she was "tired" etc and pleaded with me relentlessly to allow another girl to do my hair. Needless to say I haven't utilized their services in over A YEAR. I refuse to give my money and my wishes won't be considered, honored, respected. Don't let the smooth taste fool you ladies!!!!

I went to the shop August 2012 to get twists. About 2 hours after leaving the shop a braid fell about 20 days later 4 braids total have fallen out with my hair. The middle section of my head looks a mess. The twist aren't as tight and neat as the edges. I have a had two braids to untwists. I may be having this issue because two people were working on my head. The was my second visit there. The first time I went Ms. Caroline and another lady did my micro braids. I was in love with my micros it was the same size throughout and you couldn't tell that two people did my hair. After two months I started washing the micro's once a week and a braid never fell out. The ONLY way I will go back is if Ms. Caroline does my hair.

Your right this place does have a great appeal, and a manager that is really nice the other ladies are sweet as well. I have had my hair done here 2 different times , and I know that they do take a very long time this last time in feb I went in at 9a.m and left after 12 midnite. I have had braids fall out but do to the fact that i run a bussiness and it is in HIGH demand I havent gone back.They are a bite on the pricie side compared to other shops and on the flip side it wasnt bad price wise for me. I have been in the shop and assisted in takin out my own hair and swept up after mysellf to make it easier on them and other clients.I wont bad mouth them but with every shop there are issues that can be fixed,And everyone is intilted to there own feelings. each client has there own idea of how it should look how long it should take so on and so forth.Since they are so nice to you as a client you dont wanna be rude and hurtful and complain . So the next best thing to do is not return.Each person pays there hard earned money and they have a right to write a review on how they FEEL.

Great place, great people, I looove the Ghana movies. But I Paid entirely too much for my middle and back to have parts as large as they are. I feel cheated out of my money.

I love this place. everyone is nice. I am not one to write reviews but I was inclined to. I had to get my hair done right away...this was on the 31st (Friday) so I called around, everyone was charging way too much, so I called Caroline and she called me right back and was so nice and eager to work with me.



I had gotten my cornrows done by Caroline and I loved it, so when Caroline told me that the other lady will be doing my hair, I was a bit skeptical, but I must say, I was VERY impressed, after I got my kinky twist done, she did it exactly the way I wanted it...right color, right size and right length. LOVED IT!



The only negative is the pricing. I was quoted $200 (if you use the store's hair), but they have $10 coupon off their website.

hi everyone im looking for a great place to do my hair im moving here in march and i see all good reviews i was wondering what do they charge but if they are good as you guys say price doesnt matter cause i just want my hair to be nice thanks

This business was "GREAT!" The employers were really nice ladies and the employee got my hair done fast. I had my hair done today and the hairstyle I chose was cornrows to finish off my micro braids. They have a television with plenty of dvds and the place is very creative with a lot of space. This buisness gets plenty of customers, so if I were to choose any hair braiding salon in Augusta it would definetely be Crown Of Glory Hair Braiding.

i JUST left crown of glory couldnt be more satisfied ... i got invisable micro round crown and sew in ... NEVER had braids b4 was a little nervous ..but caroline went with me 2 hair store & answer every question i had .... experience was great service was great hair turned out WONDERFUL ....

Ms. Caroline and her sister are the best! They are so patient with newcomers that have no idea what they want done. The establishment is relaxing and a blessing. It is not everyday that a hair salon has good Christian movies to watch as you get pampered. It's just a welcoming place and they are pros at what they do. I live in Japan and come here just for the summer, and Crown Of Glory has my business!

If you looking for a place to get braids....look no further!!

Shouts go out to Caroline and staff for their professionalism, friendliness, and outstanding work. Just got senegalese braids yesterday, July 20, 2011. They turned out beautifully!!!! I am very tenderheaded so I took aleve before my appointment anticipating a headache. However, much to my surprise, the aleve was not even warranted. These girls braid tight, but not tight enough to cause major headaches, lost sleep or edges. I would recommend these ladies to anyone who wants their braids done right. Thanks to all the patrons for their helpful reviews. The positive reviews far outweighed the negative reviews. It was because of you that I gave them a shot and boy am I glad. I will be returning in the future and I hope others are as pleased as I am.



@ dont waste your time Feb 2011. If the crown of you head (which is the middle of your head) is what they so-called 'screwed up', how can it be the only thing that looks good. We are all confused by this review. The bottom line is be able to identify the parts of your head before you write a review.

I returned again for something new. Though I loved the twist and could have lasted another month or two, I was ready to switch styles. My edges were as anticipated, 'in tact'. Thanks to the crew here who know that you can't braid 2 pounds of hair on 2 strands of hair. The wonderful ladies did me nicely again. Walked out this time with beautiful tree braids. JOB WELL DONE!

I can't believe what I just read! I was also in the shop on Feb. 13 and I thought we had a really great time. I thought the 2 girls that were in there with me enjoyed their experience also. I heard no complaints only praises. All I can say Caroline is keep doing what you do! YOU WERE AWESOME! You were so nice and accommodating, may God continue to bless you and your business. I already have my next appointment scheduled:)

I am saddened to see all of the bad reviews on Crown of Glory Braids! With the exception of 2 or 3 of the reviews.. I got micros on February 9th and I was very pleased with them. I believe that if you have problem with the way your hair is done; then you should be upfront with the stylist at the time and give them a chance to correct the problem. A bad review is not going to solve anything! This is business; and the way jobs are now, everybody is looking for one and everybody needs a steady job. This is their way of survival! Caroline is the sweetest person...and I know she would correct problem if given that chance.



So before writing a bad review; be sure and at LEAST give her a chance to fix the problem. February 9th was my first time going there meeting Caroline; and it seemed as if I know her for years...and I am be returning to her shop very soon. The enviroment there is so inviting.

I went and had micros done in Jan2011. My appointment was at 9am and I was done by 3pm and that was including a eat break. I am not familiar with this area just stationed at Ft. Gordon. I came to this salon after reading several good reviews. My hair was done in a timely matter. They put moistorizer in my hair because it was very dry. There were some braids that were big in the middle but Caroline had the other lady to redo them. My braids were very nice looking and are still in and still lasting. I am able to wash my hair with them and I have not had any braids fall out. I love this shop. As with any other business if you have a problem with the service you recieved you should address it with the business instead of trying to give them a bad review, and I am sure they will be more than willing to correct it. Caroline was very eager to please me as her customer and make sure that I recieved exactly the look i wanted. 2 thumbs up!

My experience at this salon was wonderful! I called and made an appointment and to my delight, the shop was not full with tens of women waiting to get their hair done that same day. It was such a relaxed environment that we all ate breakfast together before starting on my hair. The ladies looked at my hair and offered other protective styles that would be great for me as I transition into sporting a natural. My hair is still as gorgeous as the day I got it done well over a month ago! I plan on getting some micros for the summer and will definitley suggest this salon to anyone who wants professional looking braids that last!!!!!!

everyone is saying how good mrs. caroline is but she can only do one person. Think to yourself why haven't anyone left a review about the other staff. The reason is because they are horrible. I went there for microbraids on feb. 13, 2011 it took the braider 13 hours to do my hair. The next day when I took the ponytail down the braids in the middle were not micro at all and she didn't braid past my hair so my hair was visible through the braids. Went back to mrs. caroline who fixed only some of the braids and said that I should be able to work with the other ones that were still big. Not even 2 weeks later and several of the braids have come out. The name fits the shop perfectly because once you leave the only thing that will look good is the crown of your head. For the price that you pay and having to put down a deposit when you make the appt one would think to get or expect better service.

KUDOS to Caroline and the staff of Crown of Glory Braids. I Love my braids and hope that Crown of Glory stays around for a long time (Blessings for your travel). Crown of Glory Braids is HIGHLY recommended.

I only had my hair braided twice by an African Braiding Shops and Crown of Glory Braids are the best people that I ever had to do my hair. There's one in particular there I would recommend to braid your hair and thats Caroline. She takes the time to study the grade of hair you have and ensures you are comfortable throughout the braiding session. If you ever want your hair braided here in Augusta, GA this is the place to go. The other staff are awesome braiders also
