I have been natural for a year and was trying to go it alone. I tried different products and listened to others guide me with what they tried, but was never quite satisfied with my hair. My texture is soft and naturally curly, but it dries very easily and can appear frizzy. My efforts to put moisture into my hair was either not enough moisture or it was too heavy leaving my hair weighed down. I found Dye-Ver-City as I was searching the web for salons that cater to natural hair. I was impressed with the numerous positive rewiews, one-on-one consultations offered and the fact that they would teach you how to better care for your hair based on their professional assessment of your individual hair texture and growth patterns. That is exactly what I got from Monique when she greated me, hung up my coat and asked me what I thought of my own hair and what I wanted out of this experience. She listened and took the time to talk to me about my hair as she washed, conditioned and trimmed my hair. The products she used helped define my natural curls and I am overjoyed with the results. The entire experience was wonderful. The ladies are very professional and courteous. They provide a surine atmosphere with complete focus on one client at a time. I was in and out of there in an hour which means they value my time as much as their own. I think I bought every product she used on my hair so I can keep it up between visits. Not only will I return, but I plan to tell everyone who comments on my hair about this oasis in Augusta, GA. I want other natural hair divas to step out with style without having to travel to Atlanta first!!! Thank you so much Monique and thank you Stacy for having the insight to fill the need for a natural hair salon in the Augusta area.

Personal treatment

I am an Army spouse and just moved into town 2 weeks ago. I came from Alaska, I’m originally from the DC/MD area and I am used to going to the Dominicans for hair care. Living in Alaska has damaged my hair due to the dry climate and lack of good hair stylist. Prior to me coming I researched for hair stylist in the area specifically Dominican. Of course I couldn’t find one, but Stacy’s website popped up. I browsed and liked what I saw. I am a visual person and the hairstyles I saw were great and it was Dominican style. Plus the hair products she uses are really good, Alcohol free, organic and natural. From there I knew that she was all about caring for the hair. My first appt went great. I’m so used to coming in and having multiple people doing my hair. I like that Stacy is the one and only who touches my hair. She fully examined my hair and knew what to do from there. She explained each step to me and the products used and why, and we made conversation. I like the personal treatment. There were no other clients except me so she didn’t have to go back and forth from doing my hair to another hair, I wouldn’t mind if needed but it was better. Stacy was gentle and made a good suggestion to not get my hair relaxed after taking braids out, I never knew that until now, no one told me that it makes my hair shed more. That right there showed me she actually cared for my hair as if it was her own. I was skeptic because I haven’t had a relaxer in 8 months and my hair was “rough” but she cut it and straightened it as if I’ve gotten relaxed. I’m excited for my hair growth journey with Stacy for the year I am stationed here because I know my hair will be in its best shape. Go to her, she is very nice and truly genuinely cares.

I have been without a relaxer since June 2009. This was my 2nd time attempting to go natural the first time I went it alone and I broke and got a relaxer this time with the help of Stacy Hill i am almost a year without a relaxer and my hair is stronger and healthier than its ever been. The first time she did my hair i received a Dominican Blowout. My hair was absolutely stunning! Her skill and talent is truly God sent. She amazes me more and more each time I sit in her chair. She puts her all into what she does and would NEVER let anyone leave her chair disappointed. She truly cares about you and your hair. Her knowledge on her craft is extensive any question that I have ever asked, she has been more than willing to answer and she knows what she is talking about!!! Not only is she an AWESOME hair stylist but she is an awesome person who loves God and you can see that in everything she does. My hair has never been better. I even get complements,on my hair,on days when i feel my hair looks horrible. She caters to the client and her customer service is great! You will see a extremely positive change in your hair after a few visits with Stacy. I would DEFINITELY recommend Stacy to any and everyone whether relaxed or natural!!
