Pakachoag Music School of Greater Worcester

I have been involved as a volunteer at Pakachoag Music School for the past 6 years. The school offers a warm, welcoming and nurturing environment--not only for children, but for adult students as well. The level of accomplishment students achieve is truly amazing. I wish there had been a music school like Pakachoag available to me when I was growing up.

Our family has been involved with Pakachoag Music School of Greater Worcester for the past 18 years where our children have collectively taken piano, violin, trumpet, guitar and voice lessons. During that time Pakachoag has provided so much more than a quality music education for our children. The staff and instructors have created an atmosphere where we have felt like a part of a larger musical family. The teachers have encouraged our children to value important qualities like perseverance and diligence. With performance and theory classes to enhance their weekly music instruction, the children are given a chance to explore music beyond their lesson. The school also provides opportunities for the children to be involved with various outreach programs which not only give them a time to interact with their peers musically but also to share their music in the community. To this day when our older children come home for a visit, the piano is their first stop where they play both individually and together. Our experience at Pakachoag has taught my children the skills they need to play their given instruments but also has filled our home with the joy of music.

Our 10 year old son has studied piano here for 3 years. His teacher understands his personality and provides encouragement to "reach" musically. His progress has been a joy to see! Other instructors and families encourage him at recitals and after his lesson. We are so pleased to be a part of this community!

Pakachoag Music School has been a big part of our home for the past 3 years. The instructors here have encouraged my three daughters in their choice instruments. The office staff is very professional and always ready to greet our family when we walk in. We have been so thankful for the donations that are given to this school. Without it, my children wouldn't have this once in a lifetime opportunity. They don't treat us any different because we are recipients of a grant. We always look forward to going to classes every week.

My three children have been at Pakachoag Music School beginning with early childhood programs and continuing with private lessons in piano and violin. Out family has been at the school for about 14 years so far, and have been extremely happy with the quality of the teachers and performance opportunities. The staff is wonderful. The tuition is very reasonable for the quality of instruction. We have occasionally had scheduling problems that were not known at enrollment times, and the teachers and staff have been flexible in helping to work out the conflicts to the best of their ability. Overall, we have been extremely happy with our experience at Pakachoag Music School.

Both my children began at PAK in the Early Childhood program when they were about 3 years old.. They transitioned to piano lessons as well as flute lessons ( for my daughter). They continued taking lessons until they graduated from high school. The teachers were highly skilled and cared not only about their development as musicians and performers but also about their personal development. We found teachers to be kind, accommodating and nurturing. Would highly recommend this program!

Pakachaog Music School has been a wonderful experience for my son. Together we took the Music Together classes when he was a toddler and now as a teenager he takes private lessons. He has enjoyed his teachers. The caring & friendly staff has provided him with many other opportunities like volunteering and performances.

A very inviting, friendly, knowledgeable and talented staff made my daughter and I feel very welcome. Her teacher was extremely talented and had her looking forward to coming back each week :-)

My son went to Pakachoag for several years and had a wonderful experience! His teacher was excellent and the school provided more than just lessons, in the way of workshops recitals,etc.. A very well run institution if you ask me!
