Not Busy, Bad Customer Service, Don't Waste Your Time

I went to Tongue and Groove the other night because I got a facebook invite and thought it was something good~ they have some big night called Hangover Tuesday. When we first walked up there was no line at ALL which didn't seem good but I just told myself it was still a little early (It was 11:30) and when we got in it wasn't crowded at all but it wasn't completely empty either. More like a bar than a party scene. People weren't really dancing in the small space there is to dance, mostly just standing around talking. We got our drinks pretty quickly but like I said it wasn't crowded. My main issue is the fact that we were charged more than double what our drink tab was on our bank account (and the drinks are not cheap) and when i called the owner to get it worked out, taken off, whatever, his response was ""That's not urgent, take it up with the bank"" *CLICK*! No wonder the place was so empty on it's biggest night, the owner is a jerk.

I must say I was very impressed when first going to tongue and groove.
You could tell right when you walked in that it was a classier nightclub
than most.

I really enjoyed this place. I went out with all my friends and had a blast. The cocktail waitresses were smokin' hot and I love the music. Just to let everyone know, the majority of my group of friends was black. From my experience they would never turn someone down because they are black. And they certainly did not give myself or any of my friends a problem. They WILL however turn you away if you are dressed in street clothes or sneakers. So if your not dressed to impress don't even bother. They are strict about it. Other than that, the club had a nice mix of all ethnicity types and bottom line everyone in the club was looking real good. Don't miss a chance to go check them out. What a refreshing change of scenery to some of the other ghetto fabulous clubs out there in Atlanta. Again, They never turn away anyone by skin color! but they will turn away ghetto. Use common sense! Check it out, you will have a great time

I was turned away due to my skin color. I was told my Ralph Lauren Polo was not the correct attire for Friday night. I was very disappointed, so I sat and watched many enter the establishment. I even saw a guy with a Tshirt enter. I asked again, why wasn't I allowed entry and I was told to speak to the manager on Monday.

Tongue and Groove was the first club I went out to after moving here from another city and I instantly felt at home! Everyone was so nice and accomodating! I had a great time, met a lot of new people, and the music was great! I highly reccomend this place to anyone looking for a great night out!!

I booked a table at this place and had an amazing time. My girls and I were able to pull right up to the valet and walk in through the vip door, bypassing the ridiculous line. We were greeted by a sexy host who checked us in and arranged for us to be escorted to our table. Once at our table we were greeted by a super sweet waitress who took our order, poured all of our drinks, made us shots, and basically put my girls and me at ease. She took care of stragglers that tried to approach our tables uninvited, made sure we never had an empty glass in our hands and went above and beyond to personally escort my guests to the restrooms as needed. I highly recommend this place if you are a female who loves going out with her girls.

Im so disappointed of this club. I spend 1 hr out side in rain. Aggressive security was pushing me like im not a person ... I dont know ... Maybe that was wrong day for me. In side... smoky ... over priced drinks ... I dont know hwat to think ... I know Im not coming back ... :( good luck to you...

Apparently when they opened this new location they were thinking they were in the heart of L.A. I don't know if they have to have a certain number of each race and gender inside (if so they should say so) but both times that I've gone they have held a certain race at the door. I had my birthday party there October 16th - I wanted a nice classy place to go dance and have fun with friends...only they wouldn't let some of my friends in!! i got there early to reserve a spot and only the people who came with me got in. My other girlfriends showed up 30 minutes later (10:30) and were held at the front of the line for 1 hour and 20 minutes!! While they were standing in the cold as the NEXT people to come in the door man would leave the door, walk down the line and hand pick who could go in (he was Asian), he picked only a handful of white people and a lot of Asians - which he called ""his family"". To make it worse when people asked why they couldn't get in (something they had on or needed to change) he would ignore them completely as if they didn't exisit no head nod, no eye contact, NOTHING. When I went to the door to get the remainder of my party in I was rudely brushed off with a ""NOT RIGHT NOW"". Long story short I ended up leaving and I will NEVER go there again! As someone who works in advertising we are always looking for new, nice, fun, classy places to house events - most of my co-workers were there night attending Breast Cancer Awareness Fund Raiser and checking out the new location. However, after the way my friends and I were treated that night I will tell everyone including my staff and co-workers to NEVER support a place that so racially profiles. By the way - this was my second time there...the first time I still got in but they were turning away Asian people. WTF Atlanta is a mixing pot and money is money there is no need to discriminate!

I'm new to the city and was lucky enough to have someone tell me to check out Tongue and Groove! It has become my favorite spot to be in Atlanta by far! The club is beautiful, the staff is awesome! The bartenders are so friendly and make great drinks! I never have to wait long for a drink. The music is great and clientele are the hottest people in the city! If you haven't been yet you are missing out! Go see for yourself!!! :)

The new Tongue and Groove is totally awesome. They've kept the swanky upscale atmosphere, beautiful guests, and terrific bar staff like from the old T&G in Buckhead, but now there's free self parking in a huge parking deck and cheap valet parking. Plus, it's right beside Marta!! Ladies receive free martinis until midnight on Mondays - and complimentary champagne on Fridays. You really have to come experience it for yourself.

By far my favorite night spot in Atlanta. I'm very impressed by the DJ's there they don't over play the top fourty 5 times a night but all are very original and talented. Staff and bartenders are very friendly not to mention HOT!! There are 5 full bars including an upstairs and a whole separate dance room. Drink accessibility is fast! The new Tongue and Groove is an artfully designed upgrade from its former digs yet its still the same hotspot. The bartenders and staff are by far the best in the city making excellent drinks with minimal wait. The resident DJs and several renowned guest DJs always keep the tunes pumpin and the dance floor packed in club's two distinctly different rooms. Parking is never a problem. There is ample parking in the nearby parking deck at minimal or no cost or the option of complimentary valet every night. Tongue and Groove is my fav spot in the city and I recommend everyone check it out, you won't regret it!

I have had the opportunity to visit Tongue and Groove several times and they have never let me down. They play great music, the doorman greets us as we enter and leave, the bartenders are absolutely wonderful and make excellent drinks. Not only is the staff good looking but they are genuinely nice and encourage everyone to have a great time. The place is awesome and they have done a great goob in taking clubs to the next level. \r \r I recommend everyone that wants to have a good time, good drinks in the nicest club in Atlanta to visit tongue and groove, you wont be disappointed, i know i haven't.

I absolutely love this place!!! For 8 years i have been coming to T and G. I was scared when the old one closed that nothing would come back to take its place and now this one is bigger and better! This is definitely the place to go when you want to see and be seen... especially Thursdays, my favorite night!!! Full of pretty people and drinks are flowing. Not another club in Atlanta like it!! Definitely recommend for anyone looking for a place to go!!!

I love this place. I have only been on Monday's though. It is free for lady's until 11:30 pm and drinks are free until midnight. Although I believe in poppin bottles LOL! \r \r The dress code is HOT and sophisticated. Which means freakem dress and stilettos and not shorts and flip flops. The men are always on point. I have never meet a scrub in this establishments. But the women are nice too, there are not any fights. Everyone seem to just want to have a good time. Grown and hot 21 and up only!!!\r \r Don't forget about the food. They also have a kitchen. Loved the Cab Cakes. The music is EXCEPTIONAL.\r \r What I like about this place the best is that celiberties come and chill here. So expect to see anyone and always bring your A-Game.

THERE ARE NO LONG LINES!! After working a long day at work, the last thing you want to do is to wait in a long line. This is not the case at Tongue & Groove, you just walk right in. The FREE MARTINI'S FOR LADIES BEFORE 12??? Who is willing to do that anymore especially in these hard times? Most clubs and lounges are scavengering to make a quick buck off patrons. Luckliy, this is not the case at Tounge and Groove. Its definatley worth the drive from the southside where I live and work.
