I went here because I saw a special on them on GPTV and I was not disappointed. The fried sea food platter was great and left me stuffed. My wife had the the trout on a bed of rice with some type of gravy on top and it was very good also. We will surely go back.

would not return to this resturant again. Had a 7pm reservation but when arrived there no hostes was available to sign us in and it was after 7 when they did. It was at least 30-45 min before we were seated for our 7pm reservation. The restruant is very small and they don't know how to handle a crowd of people. Plus I believe that we were over chaeged for our meals. I know just what we had and it did not total up to what they had on our receipt. I would not recemond this resturant to anyone. The food is good but they have no clue on how to run a restruant. don't go to this place because even with a reservation you are not guaranteed to be seated by your reservation time.

We dined here last weekend thinking this place was going to be excellent. I mean it has rave reviews, right? Well the thing they call gumbo was appaling. Don't even know what that brown stuff in the bowl was but let me tell you, it was not gumbo. The salad was something out of the early 80's. Come on people where is your creativity? My fish, the snapper ginger was ridiculously small and the sauce had that cheap Chinese take-out flavor. The side of rice was dry and flavorless and the vegetables were extremly over cooked. My friend ordered the baked stuffed flounder and that was even smaller then my snapper. The sauce was way too heavy and sour. The side of potatoes were decent but my friend mentioned MSG was used for flavor. Vegetables again were over cooked and discolored. The service was quite aloof and unattentive but we didn't have high hopes for that. Overall I will not ever dine here again. The food was pretty bad and the decor reminded me of Chinese buffet joint. I see why they are putting fake reviews about this restaurant because the place is a real flop stuck in a different era. Probablly one of the most outdated menus I've ever opened in my 30 years of dinning out.

Coming from someone who isnt a fish fan I was blown away by the many ways to prepare red snapper..My personal two favorites was the snapper yvonne and ginger snapper..The coconut cream cake was to die for and the romantic atomsphere is just something you should experience for your-self....Excellent service to.....

I'm not a seafood fan, so why do I love eating at The Red Snapper? Because the food is delicious. The service is classy. And when you're at this restaurant you feel like it's a special occasion - even if you're only there to enjoy (again) one of your favorite dishes from their soul-satisfying menu. Looking around the restaurant, you realize that it usually is a special occasion for someone. There is an adorable older couple seated next to you celebrating their wedding anniversary. And a younger couple near the bar is here for Valentine's day. You're just here for the NY strip steak, seasoned to perfection. And you won't leave without a slice (or two) of Mama's coconut cake, one of the proprietor's most highly prized delectable desserts. Tip: ask Mama to save you a piece before you order your meal - the rest of Atlanta wants a taste, too.
Shopping at Lenox Mall, one of the associates told me about this place. I wanted some good seafood, but not a chain restaurant. This place was perfect, and now I it is a destination spot for me. The food was amazing, and they even introduced some new dishes to me. Specifically, I now always start with the crab coquille! The owner even stopped by the table to make sure everything was okay. He stopped by every table, and it seemed like such a friendly environment. Eventhough it was our first time there, we were treated like regulars and part of the family.
Red Snapper is a family owned establishment, and you can feel the warmth and welcome as soon as you walk in the door. The service is exceptional, and the servers are attentive to your needs. The food is some of the best seafood in Atlanta. After all, aren't you going to a restauranet to EAT GOOD FOOD?

Location is the only thing keeping this restaurant from exploding with popularity. The food is absolutely exceptional. Specifically, for the appetizers; the crag croquille (creamy rolls), Rockafeller Oysters, snapper with vinagrette dressing, etc. For the Entrees; the blackened shrimp or snapper, ginger snapper, seafood curry (creamy coconut curry), etc. You can't go wrong here. Main crowd is 30s-60s(but don't let that stop you if you're in your 20s), mostly couples. Prices are a bargain across the board considering the quality of food and service is excellent.

Think of the 10 best ways to prepare red snapper. They have them all. My personal preference is Ginger Snapper with right combination of sweetness and hotness, obviously a Thai chef. For the less spicy palate, Snapper Almondine hits the spot. The house salad has a wonderful creamy dressing with just the right touch of vinegar. The hot rolls and soft butter serve to really whet your appetite for the main course.
