    Good food/terrible service

Our group of 8 decided to go to the Cheesecake Factory, since we know that the food is good, after attending the Opera on a Sunday evening. Since it was only 6:15, we got in and were seated right away but unfortunately in a terrible servers section. She had an attitude and was just not available. It was 15-20 minutes before we got our water and drinks and we did not even see her in the area during that time. We ordered dessert after the meal but since it was 15 minutes and we still had not gotten it, we cancelled it. We did not mind a leisurely meal but she was just not in tune or available. We would not go back again since it put a damper on an other wise wonderful evening.

    Hair in my Cheesecake!

    Provided by

I visited CKF on 8/20/08 with out of town guests. We ate dinner at another restaurant but decided to stop off a CKF for dessert. I had the Tuxedo Cheesecake (my favorite). As I'm enjoying my dessert, I fork through something stringy. I soon realize it was a long piece of hair. Disgusting! This is totally unacceptable for $8.00 per slice cheesecake!!! If I could give this location zero stars I would!

Cheesecake factory as a whole has a great menu. i have eaten at this location 2x and will prob never go back. First time food was fine service slow as molasses. i forgave them and came back. This time service was so slow i sat and observed what went on around us. table next to us wich had previously seated 6 ppl was not even cleaned, the clean plates and silver were put on dirty table THEN the support server wiped around the clean plates and silver and wiped the food and stuff right onto the floor. i told my server who teold the person to come back and clean the table but I could just imagine how many germs were on the table I was eating on. i had to look at the food all over the floor and think about dirty tables for the rest of the meal. The table to the side ordered a bottle of wine and server brought wine and glasses to table by sticking his fingers IN the glasses on the rim to carry them to the table- yuck. Then 1 solo diner sat right next to us and was not greeted literally for about 12 minutes. Then he ordered a drink and his drink took about 10 minutes. i was feeling soo bad for the guy and when it came back, of course it was wrong so he sent it back and at the same time ordered 2 meal courses. bother courses app and entree came to the table at almost the same time as his drink and bread. What i am saying is the service is horrible. the food mediocre and not worth the time or money. They need a complete management over haul before I go back to that place. Nasty!

Great place for out of town guest

I never been to The Cheesecake Factory so much in my life. Where I'm from we don't have a Cheesecake Factory. I actualy under estimated this lovely place. Late last year I decided to go on Sunday after church and feel in love with thier crab hash which is only served on Sunday between 10-2pm (brunch only). Ever since I had this meal I asked everybody I knew to go and have brunch with me even people I didn't hang with. I have a nak for good quality and The Cheesecake factory over delivered and exceeded my expectations.

    Over-hyped and Chaotic

    Provided by

My husband and I had never been to a Cheesecake Factory before last night. Since it was a Saturday evening, we called on our way there to see what the wait times were like. We were told there was a wait of 45-60 minutes for a party of 2, and that there was no call-ahead seating where we could put our names on the wait list over the phone. When we arrived, we were told the wait was still 45-60 minutes. They seated us closer to around 35 minutes. Our hostess first walked us to a table that had dirty dishes on it, and had to reverse us back to the hostess stand, where we waited for a moment while she located a bussed and set table. She finally took us to a booth by the windows. I was glad, because the first table looked very cramped. In fact, other than the booths, most of the seating looked cramped. Tables were very close to each other, creating a packed, noisy environment.\r \r We waited a long time for our server to come, and when he did, he was accompanied by a trainee he worked with the whole of our meal. Having our server pause to explain the procedures and menu descriptions to her slowed our already snail-like service considerably. Plus it was annoying. Our server and the trainee both seemed nice, but the server's demeanor was hyper yet robotic, like Richard Simmons working at an overly-regulated chain restaurant. I much prefer more laid-back, unscripted, yet prompt service than what we received. \r The food was so-so. Some of it was lukewarm. My veggie and goat cheese pizza was pretty soggy, although the flavor was good. It was larger than I expected. My husband's black beans had a flavor I found odd, which he didn't mind (he'll eat anything, though). He enjoyed his fish tacos, and I liked the bite of them I had, too. My Long Island Iced Tea was potent, ample, and tasty, but a bit steep at $8.50. My husband's bottled Corona was $4.75. The Tres Leches Cheesecake was just OK, not worth the $6.75 we paid. \r Overall, this place is over-hyped.

    Decent food, great desserts

    Provided by

The Cheesecake Factory is above average American food. I'm not sure what else you would expect from a restaurant whose claim to fame is it's alarmingly rich desserts. I've never had a bad experience here and recommend it. Just don't come on a weekend night and the wait is not so bad.

Customers svc sucked as did the seating for us upstairs.

The wait was much too long & I didn't think the prices were the best considering it was an overflow crowd & no one was able to give us service for quite some time after we were seated. It started raining & of course we had no umberellas, so it was a mess of a night. The foof was ok @ best & it was so hard to wait for the attandants to bring the car to us. Somehow they mislocated the key, so it was not a pleasant experience. I didn't care that much for it & even less the cheesecake.

mediocrity at its best, lousy customer service

Aside from the silly ""west coast"" decor, the food is just ok. last time i went, i ordered what I always do: tex mex egg rolls and the santa fe chicken salad with no peanut sauce, just the cilantro vinaigrette. the salad arrived undressed, so after 10 minutes or so, when the waiter finally checked on us, i asked for the cilantro vinaigrette. he said he would be right back. after another 5 or so minutes, he came back with something else and said that they didn't have the cilantro vinaigrette made today. the ""substitute"" he brought tasted terrible and he said they were making the dressing right now and did i want to wait? of course i did, that is by far the best part of the salad! another 10 or so minutes went by, the check was delivered, i asked for a box to take the uneaten salad with me and for the dressing to go. the manager delivered a very small tub of dressing and apologized for the wait (my companion had already finished her meal.) I asked the waiter for another tub and he told me they would have to make it! When I looked at the check, no discount had been taken off. Even after the manager delivered the dressing, he didn't offer to discount the meal at all. If they had just said at the beginning, ""we are out of cilantro vinaigrette"" I could have ordered someting else.
