Brighton Gardens of Buckhead

Brighton Gardens memory care neighborhood was a horrible experience for my mother. Often times we would go visit and no one knew where she was, yet we'd find residents in her room., many times asleep in her room. Once we all looked for my mom, we'd find her asleep in another resident's room. At BG, my mom slept for most of the day, and then BG seemed annoyed that she was awake at night. The structure, support, and environment promised just was not provided. One resident was physically aggressive and several were verbally abusive. When we would be visiting my mother listening to music, residents would just come in my mom's room and make themselves at home. One lady hit staff trying to ask her to leave. Residents would take other residents' food, drink, and silverware, and it was if staff most often did not notice it. I watched a lady take her cane to the aggressive resident because he grabbed her. Most residents had learned to yell when he grabbed them so staff would intervene. Simple things like taking my mom to the bathroom, cutting up her food, etc. just did not happen too many times. On top of not doing what BG promised, it was way too expensive. Yet, the worst part was how it made my mom anxious and unhappy. I would not give even one star, but I had to do so in order to post this.
