Food you can believe in!
Sevananda Natural Foods Market is one of the largest natural foods cooperatives in the southeastern United States. Incorporated in 1974, the company provides fresh, local, organic produce, natural foods, vitamins and supplements, as well as and a large selection of bulk herbs and spices. In addition, Sevananda Natural Foods Market provides earth-friendly household and pet products, freshly prepared foods, such as nutritious baked goods, soups, sandwiches, entrees and salads. The consumer-owned cooperative has more than 4,000 members and gives preference to local suppliers, producers and growers. Wherever possible it excludes products that contain artificial chemicals, refined sugar and genetically engineered or irradiated foods.
If you are looking for that store that has the product quality that you are looking for along with a level of food integrity that you can trust, then Sevananda is your kind of store. As one of the only fully Vegetarian Coops left in the nation, you will find only the best products at the lowest possible prices overall (and we do check against the competition regularly).
All major & local brands
Not a good place at all. Beware. Coop not true anymore it's a den of deception. Calvin Vismale claims to be the sole owner of a member owned coop. People actually invest their money expecting a return in this place. The member owner spill is a scam. Service is horrible too. The bathrooms are filthy for a health food store. People are being fired and losing jobs as volunteers. Who fires a volunteer? This place does. It has changed for the worse and the public should know the truth. The energy is evil. You should not shop there for anything. Go to life grocery or any other natural foods spot. And the new Store Manager has plans to start selling meat and alcohol it's so disgusting. BEWARE.
I'm so lucky to live near here, as they carry an awesome selection of vegetarian foods and cruelty-free products. Their bulk goods section is great. You can get an enormous bag of organic oatmeal for $2 or $3 - the same amount that you normally would have to purchase in a package for $6 or $7. They also have a lot of yummy pre-made vegan food. The only thing I don't like is that some, not all, of the staff is sllllooooowwww to check you out.
Sevananda is a small grocery co-op that offers produce, baked goods, frozen food, bulk food, as well as toiletries and a huge natural health section with really knowledgeable staff. Their deli foods are great too. Plus they have lots of cardboard boxes which comes in handy when you are moving. They are a really great store.

I used to use Sevananda back when I was a strick Vegitarian (no dairy, no animal fats) for all my shopping needs and it was great. I am no longer a vegitarian but I still find myself shopping there. They have a wide selection of organic produce, exotic drinks, exotic dishes, refined sugar, salt, and peper substitutes. And much more. If you care about who you are and what you put in your body , you need to shop there.

I love shopping at Sevananda because I know that I am supporting a community owned business. They have the best selection of Organic and Locally Grown foods. The hot food bar is to die for!!! And I have never seen such a large selection of Bulk Goods before. I have attended the yoga class several times and really appreciate the enthusiasm of the instructor and the warm welcome I receive. Sevananda is a great resource for information regarding healthy living and I have become a total class junkie and many of the classes are taught for free! Last time I was in the store, I got a free bumper sticker that said ""Shop Local, Own Local"". You can't get better than that!

They have a great selection, good prices. Produce is expensive. Prepared foods are good, they even carry take out from R Thomas Deluxe.
