Let me preface by saying: we are long-term customers of Sal Grosso. This evening, Sal Grosso lost our business due to poor service. Management (John) was very ungracious in responding to a reasonable alternative seating request. Also, no communication on exit (no good evening, no thank you for coming, no how was your meal). At these prices, service needs to be excellent. Very disappointing as this used to be out ""go to"" place for birthdays, anniversaries, special date nights...

Although not a huge meat eater....I love this place! What great service..get the capriheinas(sp?) to drink...so good! Not cheap, but I believe restaurant com has a deal for this place. We have been to Foga de chao in Buckhead, but I actually prefer this place. It cn be very romantic, or good for a group of people.

This is a rip-off restaurant. Me and my wife never dined here before, and we felt they've tricked us. First of all, we went to the website and we noticed that it says for Executive Dinner, the gift certificate cannot be used. So, we called. The person on the phone said 'Of Course you can use the gift certificate!' So we went there. And when we arrived, the server asked us if this is our first time coming here. We said 'Yes'...then the server went on to explain about the salad bar, and the meat, WITHOUT explaining that there are 2 types of buffet...Rodizio and Executive Dinner. So we just went on. When we got the check, we ended up having to pay $100 for 2 people minus $50 gift certificate for the average food that we had (I compared this against Porto Brasil in Roswell Rd). The manager didn't want to understand this, and if the server had explained that there are 2 types of dinner beforehand, we would've been alerted about this situation. Worst place to dine that I could remember ... and I've dined to a lot of places.

We went to this place to celebrate my cousin’s birthday and we were very pleased with their service. The attendants were so prompt and attentive to our needs during our stay there. I am a picky eater but this restaurant definitely made me want to order all the items on their menu. Everything was so enticing and I even took home another set of entrée for dinner. I will definitely go back to this place.

What a great restaurant. Warm greeting, they remember my name and the food is great. Love this place.

food and service are always delicious at Sal Grosso, but this Valentines they went beyond expectations. The place was crowded, so management was on top of everything , going table to table making sure guests were taken care of. We had no reservation , and had to wait for 2 hours ...then the manager came with 2 glasses of champagne ! That was a touch! Thank you for making so special

It's a little cheaper than other brazillian steakhouses, but I felt their meat was a bit too tough and really really salty.I was never so thirsty in my life. It was just too salty\r \r The price for the all u can eat meat is fair, but everything else is expensive. I don't know if it was really worth it.

I have used this facility multiple times for our group celebration (10-30 people) and they have provided excellent service. Once when my group was there, they had small fire (nothing that should raise eyebrows..afterall they are grillling meat the Gaucho style) and essentially our whole group of 25+ received a free meal (We were almost done by the time fire broke out in kitchen). Our group is been so happy with the place, we made a point to visit the place a week after to dine their again.\r \r Only (though very critical) improvment I would suggest them is to have strict to lacto-vegeterian hot dishes as part of their salad bar, which would make the place even more appealing (yes, yes, I know it is a stakehouse) to a wider audience.
Made a reservation for Mother's Day and arrived right on time, They seated up quickly and then the fun began. After a small salad the meat started to arrive. Nice hot meat seasoned just right. If you love meat this is a great place to eat. You never have to wait an hour to eat, it's ready any time you are. Just turn your card to green and it never stops. If you need a minute or two, turn your card to red. They bring out cinnamon bananas and cheese bread. My kids really liked the food too. They are 18,16 and 11. The only who didn't like it was my 7 year old, but we picked up something for him on the way. He doesn't like meat. They had 4 kinds of steak, 2 different kind of chicken. Fish, pork loin.. etc. A lot to choose from. We are now planning on returning as soon as we have another special occasion.

My experience at Sal Grosso was overall incredible. As soon as I walked in the door the staff was very welcoming, friendly and pretty quick to get me seated. The ambiance was very elegant and the service displayed the caliber of restaurant that it is. The system was explained to us as we were also presented with an extensive wine list as well as exotic drink suggestions. The salad bar offered a great healthy selection and all the meat selections were delicious. You will have your favorite meats and they will continue to bring them to you with no problem. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a fine dining experience with great food and service.

Sal Grosso is under new management . We did not only have sent a new gift card with $100 credit but we also fully refund the dinner bill in their credit card in the amount of $160 . We have all the proofs and info regarding that matter. That was the best we could do in order to have this issue taken care of. Unfortunately seems that the guest wanted more than this without even giving us back the gift card that she says was empty. Regarding the dry meat, maybe she doesn't know the system. The meat runners ask how you would like to have the meat, you just have to let them know if it is well done, medium or rare and they will bring the meat as you wish.

Do not purchase gift cards from the restaurant , they do not stand behind them! I purchased a card with no credit. They did not reimburse for the mistake they made.
Fantastic restaurant for meat lovers in gigantic amounts. Great location, parking availability, and great services. Good lunch combos!!!

Sal Grosso was a great experience for our monthly supper club. We had a party of 10 and received fablous service and phenomenal food. I plan on going back for lunch with a healthy appetite.

I've been to Sal Grosso several times at dinner, but yesterday I went there at lunch time: WOW.... Same meats (except lamb chops that I don't like it anyways), same salad-bar and only $19.95 instead of $39.95.\r Just an advise for you save some money :)

I recommend this place if you can meet all three of the following criteria: (1) You are not vegetarian; (2) You are very hungry; (3) You are going on someone else's nickel. Our business host who took us there indicated that T-Rex's have been known to dine at this restaurant, and you will surely be exposed to an array of meats during your experience. I generally liked it, though my experience was tempered by the fact that I couldn't eat too much on account of recovering from a sour stomach the previous several days. The one lamb chop I had was pretty good, though the other meats were not as succulent as I was expecting. It's pricey, too. When the check arrived, our gracious host who was buying dinner was overcharged by one head, but he caught it when examining the bill. The thing we didn't like was that we got the distinct impression that this was purposeful. We were a large group, several drinks, desserts, etc. were ordered, and the tab was pretty high so maybe they thought they could increase the overall bill without much notice?

We have been there now 3 times and everything about the place is great; fresh and well prepared meat, delicious salad, excellent service, great price. In general, a superior experience!

I've never been to this particular restaurant before, but here is what I think and it might help ppl that never been to a brazilian restaurant. You guys don't have to eat everything that u guys see and dislike. If you guys don't like the way the meat is cooked you guys can and should ask for a new one (and explain how u like ur meat done). I think that's one of the part of the concepts that ppl don't get...

Here's the deal: The price, roughly $40 a person; The food, overcooked and dry meats. If you like steak, your money would be better spent buying a good cut of meat cooked the way you like it for $20-$40 at a chop house. If you like dry, well-done meat and lots of it, then this is your place. Also, they state they have ""seafood,"" but this only consisted of one unknown fish. If you want to experience a brazilian steakhouse, go for it. If you want high-quality food, stay away and go to a normal steak house.\r As to the service, average at best; pushy and indifferent is the best description.
