would NOT recommend Dr. Silcox to ANYONE. He did spinal fusion on my wife. After insurance we owed him about $800.00. Because Dr. Silcox would not or could no keep my wife out of pain ( even though the recovery time for this surgery is 3-6 months, he refused narcotic pain medication after about 2 months ). My wife has experienced complications with this surgery where (so we were told, but never shown the x-rays after we were left in a room for over an hour with no one checking on us) the cage sunk into her vertebrae. Because he refused to manage her pain, she lost her job, and we could not keep the exact arrangement we had made. We did show good faith and sent a payment anyway. I ensured them I would get them paid. My wife has NEVER seen Dr. Silcox after the surgery. After he got the $30k for the surgery he dropped her like a hot rock, and my perception is that he is only in it for the money, and could care less about his patients if they fall short financially in any way. He refuses to even communicate if his patients have a hiccup in their life, and even if it is HIS fault.
I would like to add my wife has no history of substance abuse, and was in not in any way in danger of becoming addicted to narcotic pain meds. She was taking them extremely sparingly and only when she needed to.
My wife lost her job because of the lack of pain management from this practice. He now refuses to see my wife at all ( of course until the balance is paid ) even though he got paid for the surgery. Be careful, this doctor will NOT put the value of his patients over the value of a dollar so BEWARE.
