saturday 3/10/2012 we went down for lucky fest. this was my first time to visit park tavern.\r we ordered several of the same drinks, each time the girl could not remember the orage as a garnish.\r toward the end of the night we were heading out , we ere told by this huge bouncer to move out of the way or we were gong to jail??? my date went to get the owner because neither one of us never have been talked to like that , for doing nothing. the owner was just as impolite as his door man. very low class. i will never go back to that place. the owner needs to realize working with the public, you dont threaten people that they will go to jail if for literally standing in front of the bar waiting on their entire group to catch up . RIDICULOUS!

Wish I could give 0 stars. Went there for ice skating after buying tickets online. The rink is TINY and super crowded. Was not informed that when you pay $15 per person you only get to skate for one "session", which is an hour and a half but starts 15 mins late. Plus, they don't have enough kids skates, so even though we arrived right in time for a session, we had to wait 2 hrs for the next one and be first in line bec the closest size they had was SIX sizes too large. To top it off, the girls who work in the rink area are very, very rude and unhelpful. I would've just gotten a refund but, surprise, they don't give refunds or exchanges. Obviously we will not be returning.

i'm sorry at this point I have heard too many stories about weddings being canceled at the last minute when stuff comes up. Just something potential brides and grooms should keep in mind if considering this venue (or other events). If an event comes up in the park after you have booked, beware that you could be scrambling at the last minute to find somewhere new.

I have been to Park Tavern before for a holiday event. We went last year for Father's Day and it was great. So we went for Mother's Day this year. It was an absolute disaster. Just like wn2944 wrote for Easter Brunch, they allowed for WAY too many reservations, which turned the Park Tavern into an absolute zoo. Then all the good tables were reserved for larger parties, leaving us without a seat, even though we paid the same amount per person for the brunch! Luckily we went early and we didn't have to wait in line. When we left at 1 PM or so, there was a line out of the door, with MANY dissatisfied customers. You could not even get in the place, and you made reservations ahead of time. The food was ok. Not nearly as good as the year before for Father's Day. They ran out of coffee early on. Yes, a brunch and they didn't have coffee. The omeletes were not made to order. Instead, they just made a plain egg-only omelet and then you as guest put on your own ""toppings"". Hardly an omelet. My wife and son went to get dessert at the nice looking chocolate fountain inside. They got 4 chocolate covered strawberries and a couple of marchmallows. They had to wait in line for more than 25 minutes for that! The line simply didn't move. Too many people. We never saw a waiter. So we had to get all the stuff ourselves. Even clearing off the table wasn't happening. Again, way too many people for the staff they had. In summary, we will NOT go back. We paid $25 per person for a not-so-great experience. It's obvious they are just trying to make as much money as they can by taking costs out of staff and food, while allowing as many people as possible into the place. Sad, it was great before...

We went to Park Tavern for Easter Brunch. First we had to pay to park. Absolutely ridiculous. We had to stand in line to pay before we were even allowed into the restaurant. I had made reservations over a month before easter but I was not told that there were no assigned tables. We had to stand around with all the people without reservations and wait for others to leave so we could sit down. Not one time during the 1 1/2 hours we were there did a server ever come to our table. never to remove a plate or refil a water. I guess thats why gratuity was included when we paid upon arrival. We had to ask the bartender for salt and were handed a plastic cup with margarita salt in it. The food was typical. Overcooked fish and beef and undercooked potatoes. A great memory for my son's first Easter.

This place is really cool, it has great food and great drinks. They don't cheap out on the drinks, they are well worth the money. I also loved trying their brewed beer, and its always a good time when I go.

you can never go wrong with park tavern!! no matter what time of the year, park tavern is always a good pick! the outdoor patio is perfect in good weather months - even have umbrellas and the like when the sun is super-hot and cozy seats by the fire place (2 of them!!) inside when it's a bit cooler outside! and because of this, they get crazy-busy sometimes. when they are busy, you may have to wait a bit for a table, or for your food, but it is always worth the wait! the food is DEE-LISH and they have a good variety. the servers are also very knowledgable and always have good recomendations. the staff is always friendly -- every body there is having a good time and they want you to join in! one of THE best places to sit and enjoy a drink and watch the sun go down behind the atlanta city sky line! love love love park tavern!!

Park Tavern is a perfect place to loosen up. They offer various food and drinks. We headed to this place together with my colleagues on a Friday night and we had a great evening. The food, the service and the place illustrated quality. This is one of our favorite places for a Friday night out .

My friends and I decided to go out for lunch. We headed to this restaurant and the place was awesome. The food was okay. However, the food choices were very limited. We hope that there will be a wide array of choices in the future.\r

Yep, the house bar for Piedmont Park, the crown jewel of Atlanta. Always a hot spot people watching and pooch petting. The guys and girls are usually in revealing sports attire for a hot day in the park, and the former Piedmont Driving Club clubhouse sets a perfect backdrop to get your conversation on with strangers.

I used to be a big fan, the menu has changed and i feel they have really lost their touch with the burgers. Their new sushi good but now you don't even get fries with the sandwiches. Not sure what happened, but this used to be one of my favorite places.

What a fantastic place!!!! Celebrated my son's birthday in the private bar room in the back. We had never been here before and I have to say absolutely everything was perfect. Chris the manager is a pleasure to work with, our server was one of the best we have ever met, and the food was delicious. All of our guests were raving about Park Tavern as well. Thank you for a memorable evening. We will definitely be back.

My friends and I went to Park Tavern on Sunday, as we have several times in the past, and we had the best service! I haven't seen Maureen there before, but then again, I have not been since last Summer. I ordered a caraffe of the sangria and the Rockstar Roll (yes, quite a combo, I know). Our server, Maureen, was so attentive and super friendly--also very knowledgable. We will definitely be returning--most likely for Lucky Fest this weekend! Thanks Maureen!

Park Tavern has come a long way in the 10 years it's been in Atlanta. I started hanging out there when I was living in VaHi and always could count on great beer and fabulous people watching. I've seen amazing concerts there over the years, been to weddings that rivaled anything at a luxury hotel and have been pleased to see the quality of food & general atmoshphere grow along with my personal tastes. The entire restaurant is so pretty now-- they've redone the bathrooms in marble, the firelpaces are warm and cozy, I love the stone and wood beam feel. The landscaping is really nice and I hear they've done a lot of ""green"" things like putting in a cistern and solar panels. The SUSHI is HANDS DOWN- the BEST in the city. The sushi chef took the time to explain to me all about the fish--- which is flown in daily from Honolulu-- pretty darn fresh! Surprising to find such amazing sushi in a non-Japanese restaurant. In fact, Park Tavern does a great job breaking the mold on all ""types"" of genres. They're a superb brewery, fun cocktail spot, great for sports-watching & Wii gaming, beautiful for weddings and special events... what ISN'T Park Tavern??? It's a true gem in a city full of opportunities. You can literally find and do anything at Park Tavern! HIGHLY RECOMMMENDED!!!

The Park Tavern always does a great job hosting private events. Their attention to detail, staff and catering are terrific and they are wonderful to work with. My husband and I had our 40th Birthday Party there in the Piedmont Room and they transformed it into a beautiful 'cocktail lounge', served good, strong drinks and the backstage for the band was the Atlanta skyline..where else can you get that in town!?!? Our school's auction was held there last night and again, it was over the top! The venue was transformed into a swanky French lounge and the food was absolutely amazing! When just visiting and stopping in for fare and drinks, don't miss their sushi...it is definitely some of the best in town! Very innovative and fresh, fresh, fresh!

Done and done. Below is my post to all the major sites: \r WOW!!! Absolutely outstanding is about the best way I can describe my Sunday night experience at Park Tavern. Always a good view, great company and oversized drinks, my most recent experience blew my socks off!!! Over dinner with friends, I savored some of the BEST sushi I've had in this city...Loved the Tuna that was imported fresh from Hawaii and the Kobe roll is to DIE for. My first love has now grown even deeper with the level of service, quality of drink and food and overall stellar management. 5-stars baby!!!\r Can't wait to come back again!\r

I DID NOT GET AN OUNCE OF WHAT I PAID FOR!! I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!! Make this right!!! Ok, make this right!!\r Let's see what they do people!!

i' ve been her several times. its inside piedmont park, very dog friendly and a great patio; which is the ONLY reason i had gone back. After my experience tonight (10/25/09) we will NEVER go back. The service has ALWAYS been horrible, the food never that great, and the tabs too high. Tonight, the Park Tavern proved to me what they REALLY have to offer. I dont know our servers name, since he never told us, but he seemed to be fine, UNTIL, he started drinking and taking shots with the table next to us. After having a great time with them he forgot to bring us our friends credit card back as well as forgetting to bring us the drinks we had ordered. I confronted the ""manager"" Chris about this, and he had little to say as well, other than ""i'll look into it and get back to you"". Needless to say he never did, and after waiting about another hour we were able to get our check and leave. we didnt leave a very good tip since...well...it wasnt earned. (one of us is a server...so this is NOT standard practice for us!). the server hovered over the table while we were getting our money out (which was the most attentive he had been all night) and when seeing what kind of tip we were giving him (6 on a 70 tab) he followed us to the stairs and was eager to say ""have a great night ... punk a##$@""\r i went back in to confront this ""manager"" WHO put me in a position to confront the server myself. very awkward and they did NOTHING about the situation other than tell me he would play back his cameras and handle it from there. in summary, STAY AWAY from park tavern. there are lots of cool places in atlanta, with much better food, and better spaces that will provide better service. dont waist your money...you will be disappointed.
