Mosquito Curtains Inc

Hi Kurt, Recall that we live on a boat, that I suffered West Nile Virus encephalitis last year, given to me by some passing mosquito, that we needed to protect my wife before the upcoming mosquito season, that you made up curtains for the open-able windows in my boat and that the curtains had black mosquito mesh held inside 1-inch wide white belts. When they arrived, we put in the first snaps for the first curtain, then went on to do all of them, and the results are fantastic! The curtains are just elastic enough so we can pull them 'tight' over the wood frame outside the windows and get a good enough 'seal' to prevent mosquitoes from entering along the sides. And, the curtains block very little light and none of the view, just as we had hoped! After installing the six curtains over the outside windows, we came inside and put up the curtains under the two skylights. Again, everything worked perfectly. Amazingly, from the outside, you do not even notice the curtains.

Wonderful product that came just as I expected. The quality was fantastic and the company went out of their way to find ways to save me on cost. As I post this, I see other comments that I don't understand. Perhaps they never added the recommended width adjustments as I almost forgot to do. It must be a hurry past the reading thing.

These curtains shrink!!! Don't waste your money with these folks. I spent nearly $700 on curtains with them and one of the panels was cut too long. When I contacted them about fixing it, they just repeatedly dodged doing anything about it. But then, within about a year and a half, all of my curtains had shrunk so much that they could no longer be used! Even though they had started with a little looseness, eventually I couldn't even stretch them across my area and they didn't even reach the ground! Their ordering instructions require you to add a certain amount of length and width to your dimensions, but it is insufficient. I've recently learned that polyester mosquito netting can shrink as much as 6 inches per every 10 feet. When I contacted them about it, all they wanted to do was sell me new (larger) curtains at full price. Even though they admitted that they shrink, they danced around the topic of doing anything about it. They were also very rude and insulting. The only thing they offered was the suggestion that I take the curtains down and try to stretch them. I tried and it didn' t work. Don't waste your money. These will quickly shrink beyond usefullness and then you'll just get a nasty attitude from mosquitocurtains.com.

The company measured the curtains wrong twice, and while they did replace the curtains both times at no cost to me for the curtains, they would not reimburse me for the expense for the contractor having to install both fixes twice. Why? Because they said it's "a do-it-yourself" product. Even though I did nothing wrong and my contractor measure correctly (as admitted by the Mosquito Curtains company), I still had to pay extra fees because of their mistakes. Also, the curtains stain very easy. I've only had them for about 3 months in Florida, and I'm washing them and the stains will not come out. They weren't that dirty but I wanted to keep them clean. But what dirt has gotten on the curtains will NOT wash out. You can buy the same material at Lowes or Home Depot.

Not a good experience. People seemed lazy and unprofessional. No one could answer my questions and the product was of poor quality.
