Like one of the other reviewers on here, I too wondered if those writing the many positive reviews and myself both dined at the same restaurant.
We went around 9PM on a Friday and were seated immediately. A good thing. The store looks like a nasty, little, hole-in-the wall on Cheshire Bridge Road with terrible parking, but we thought,
""OK, cruddy looking on the outside just may mean good things on the inside."" It didn't. The sign in the front window stating, ""Do not leave valuables in your car."" was a bit disconcerting as well.
The place is small and noisy. No problem, if the food is good I can overlook almost anything. It wasn't. The fresh basil roll with shrimp that we both ordered was like plastic with a sickly sweet, almost
of jam consistency, peanut sauce. The Tom Ka Soup had an orange color that I have never seen in my many years of eating Tom Ka Soup. (Was it Halloween in Thailand?) The Bangkok Chicken and the
House Lo Mein we ordered was of equal quality to that found in an Asian take-away in any shopping mall food court, at double the price. Next time if I want mediocre Asian food I will save myself some
money and eat at Panda Express.
One wonders from the many positive reviews of this restaurant and the many really mediocre to bad food establishments in the city, that perhaps the residents of this area just don't know good food.
