We ate here with co-workers last week, and I must say, they have some pretty darn tasty pizza. I love all the natural ingredients and the pizza was so large that we had some to take back to work and eat later in the day, loved this place great atmosphere.

My 74 year old mother loves this restaurant. So much in fact that when it first opened and there was nobody eating there, she recommended it to quite a lot of people and also took people there to introduce them to Hearth. She is the ""Norm"" of Hearth, whereas she knows all the wait staff by first names and most of them know her as well.\n\nHer 75th birthday is on 2-24-11 and she wanted to celebrate it at Hearth with 10 of her family members. She contact the manager about a reservation and he was more than happy to oblige. Today she called to confirm the reservation for next Saturday and she spoke with Dave, the owner. Dave promptly told her that they do not accept reservations on Saturday. She explained to him about her history at his restaurant and that she was bringing 10 people that night and that the manager had given her the reservation.\n\nHe would not budge. He didn't care it was her 75th birthday and she chose to celebrate it at his restaurant. He didn't care that she was a regular there. He didn't care how many people she had brought to his restaurant. He didn't care how many people she had referred either and he didn't care that she was bringing 10 of her closest family members to celebrate this milestone birthday. He only cared that if he gave her a reservation, then he would have to give others one as well. He promptly canceled her reservation that the manager had given her.\n\nFunny how a place or a owner will bend over backwards for you when they are struggling or just starting out, but Dave proved that he couldn't care a less about customers like my mom that helped put his restaurant on the map. Now that he's busy, he doesn't have to care. What a pity that he won't honor one measly reservation that his manager was more than happy to give my mom. Needless to say, she will never step foot in the place again but he probably doesn't care about that either.\n

Really nice place. Right next door to my fav Chinese place. They have an awesome menu. Kind of like a California Pizza Kitchen with better pizza. Service is always to notch too. My only 2 gripes and they are major ones. #1 The regular plain jane pepperoni pie is underwhelming. #2 The price high for what you get. If you want a fun unique pizza and don't mind paying a little extra, The Hearth is Girls night approved.
If you live in Sandy Springs and haven't tried the Hearth, then you are truly missing out of one of the city's hidden gems. This place serves fantastic brick oven fired pizzas (not the usual globs of cheese and thick dough), good drinks, some sandwichs, and good appetizers. The pizzas are a notch above anything that we have had in Atlanta and I have lived here for 15 years.
The service is always pleasant and prompt here.
This place is great for a meal out with the kids as well as meeting up with the gang. The two crowds seem to blend just fine at this establishment. They also have a full bar and a great patio area.
What are you waiting for? Just don't tell too many of your friends, we still want a table too!
